Best/Worst Uniforms

Chicago has the best uni's ever because they've stayed pretty much the same since the 40's. GB is up there b/c of the same reason imo.

I think Miami should change their colors and make them darker as well. Go with a more blue green rather than a teal.

I'm not going to get into your comparison of a Bison vs a Dolphin because I think both are great for mascots in their own right. People on here get a little crazy with the "your mascot should be fear inducing creations from hell" attitude.

I agree with your Blue Green comment. Actually, the Phins had gone to that color and most of the Dark Jerseys you get in the store still are. It's a great color.

Good Ole Jimmy Johnson is responsible for the movement to a lighter blue (which I hate). Jimmy wanted to incorporate Navy Blue into the uni's and the Blue Green didn't match with the Navy so out it went. Yet another blessing from Jimmy. :shakeno:

I've always loved watching the Packers play. They have a great tradition, fans etc. Just don't care for the green and gold combo. I forgot about the Ravens. Yes, they could be near the bottom.

Yes the Pckers traditioal look is good because of the old style. Ignore the colours. Also the Bears plain C on teh helmet and their simple unis show tradition as well. Raiders are a classic uni also and will never stray far from what they have even with new ownership I bet.
But I love the Fins TEal unis better than any. The white are just ok. Not bad or great, just fine. Love the teal though!

I don't think your mascot has to be intimidating (I like the Packers and there's tons of jokes that go with them) but most would agree that a dolphin is one of the lesser intimidating mascots. I dunno, I've never lived by the ocean, maybe they would freak me out there more :confused:

That's just my point, they don't have to be intimidating.
Really think about it, how many mascots are?

Buffalo aren't intimidating either although I did see an idiot walk up behind one at Yellowstone Natl. park and poke it on the arse to get a picture of it. I'm pretty sure he feels intimidated by them now after getting thrown into the air within about half a second later.

There's only 3 teams I think have bad names/logos.

Browns by far take the cake. The Owner naming the team after it's first coaches last name .... Could you get any less creative? Crappy name and color scheme.

Saints. Colors are good but the name and Fleur De Lis logo is pretty weak.

Jets.... why? Just because I hate the D*@n Jets.

I LIKE THE NEW CARDINALS, they needed updating...

same with the lions, their lion should change some,

more gothic, more like the kind on a coat-of-arms...

lions changed their a little bit before, they wont do it again, i think the stupiest jerseys made were the black ravens and eagles ones

The recent article talking about how "bad" the Dolphins logo is got me thinking about the best and worst uniforms in football. I've always thought the Dolphins were the best. The only exception being the orange jerseys which I absolutely hate. Anyway, here's my to 10 best and worst.

Best
1. Miami (color scheme and Dolphin on the helmet is great)

Worst
4. Buffalo (color scheme is good, red Buffalo makes me wonder, plus name is bad. It's an animal that is eaten rather than a predator)

a dolphin SHOULD be eaten. and see what happens if you piss off a buffalo. its the name of the city, cant exactly change it. but there would be riots in the streets if someone tried.

best unis: Bengals, Falcons and i don't know why but i have always loved the colts road uni. aswell as the raiders road uni.

worst uni's: browns, chiefs and detroit (although their new alternate is great)

No--A buffalo IS eaten ALOT you can buy ground Buffalo at any upstate Wegmans..Try some and tell a freind...

I praised the bison as a good choice in an earlier post but so be it.

Bison ARE eaten on a daily basis.
I have Bison patties in my freezer right now.
Not to mention that the animal was so freakin stupid that in the old west people would herd them right over a cliff.
Yeah, fantastic animal!

Ummmmm, no. I have an old Marino jersey from the mid-90's, and several of the newer style with the navy. The old Marino jersey is considerably lighter than the newer ones when you put them next to each other.

BTW I think Buffalo should go with you're old unis permanant ,the ones with the standing red Buffalo on a white helmet..you're going to use them in a game this year..stick with those they are nice.
