this isnt a big deal, it seems to me that philbin and ireland and ross are on the same page, which is the most important out of all things in an organization. Im sure philbin will get last say on coaching matters but ireland will have a big opinions on things because again they are on the same page.
i have wiped the slate clean with ireland and ross since the moves they hit the ground running with in their first year of no parcells.
but if this is the case, this is one of the stupidest moves in the world [please, someone get in ross's ear on this].
and somewhat of a conflict of interest for sure!
jeff ireland wouldnt know how to run an nfl practice or drill. as far as i know, he has NO experiance with the WCO and you look for specific talents in the players you select for it. and you have to know what those are and how to look for them.
people who are deciples of an nfl dicipline like the wco on offense, the 3-4 on defense, those who have spent most if not all of their careers in these systems, have taught, played, studied it, they know EXACTLY what they are looking for as far as players who fit in those schemes.
how in the hell can ireland look at philbin, a wco deciple and teacher, in the eye, with a straight face and tell him who should be starting? don shula would have punched him in his eye!!
i hope this is just another of those goofy, baseless rumours we have been subjected to since the season ended. usually by some hack associated with the new york media or clueless blogger.
this would just have everyone in the leauge laughing at us once again.
i want to enjoy just a little time of my ireland/ross clean slate!!!!
