I would feel more sympathetic about the defense missing all those pieces if they'd given up 40 to the Bills. But that wasn't the case. The defense is not why we fell short. Sure, we'll probably get blown out Sunday now that Van Ginkel and Goode are gone but an offense that scores 14 isn't winning anyhow. We've known all along that it's the offense that has to show up and drop 28 on someone like a truly great unit would.
And I'd feel more sympathetic about the OL had it performed terribly with all the backups but again, it didn't. Our run game was awesome and the QB routinely had time in the pocket.
What happened to this in the 2nd half?
I’d keep McDaniel, this is a completely different team if we were able to field our actual squad. I’m not sold on Tua, I just don’t think he can get us over the top in big games where we have to come back, too mistake prone and usually goes over to McDaniel instead of rallying the troops. It’s almost as if the coach is his security blanket
