Billy Volek's Agent seeks trade...

My guess is that Volek thinks it is likely the Titans are going to win the Leinert sweepstakes and that Norm Chow came over to this job as an advance man for that.

His agent asked the Titans for permission to seek a trade with a team that will give him a chance to be a starter. Thought it may interesting to speculate on. Here's the link:

He must be an idiot. He had the opportunity to leave before last season. He chose to resign with the Titans.

didnt he just sign a contract this past summer?

It's about Chicago / Grossman injury. That's my take on it, anyway.

This is probably true, but I doubt that Volek would be pissed about a trade to the Dolphins if it meant he was going to be the starter. Chicago is the team that should be in panic mode, though. Lovie very well could get the boot if this team doesn't perform this year.

Super talented be we dont have anything that they need. Wanted to pick him up 2 years ago when he was a free agent. Far outperformed Mcnair last years when comparing stats.

...music city miracle...

Wow! A Buffalo Bills fan actually made me smile! :D

I loved that game. Thanks for bringing it to my memory. And, BTW, yes, that WAS a lateral!  I watched it over and over. That ball went EXACTLY parallel to the line of scrimage...it didn't go forward, it didn't go backward. EXACTLY parallel. Unbelievable. Best part was, the Bills LOST. :D :D :D

I'm not a big Titans fan, but as a Tennessean I do root for them unless their winning hurts the Fins. That day, they were my second favorite team (Favorite team = Fins, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th favorite team = opponents of Bills, Jets, Pats).

Yeah, I agree that they have as much potential in Kyle Orton than anyone else they might pick up. He really looks like the real thing.

Volek would be a great trade for Miami, but I agree with the fact we have nothing the Titans want (or need).

Sure we do -- picks.

Player for player trades are rare in the NFL, anyway.

And what kind of picks would they want? Given what he's already shown on the field (impressive ability), a first round pick would not be out of the question. Add to that our new regime's stated unwillingness to trade away picks for other people's players.

I'm not playing Devil's Advocate here, I'd really like to see what an explosive, talented, young QB like Volek could do in our new offense. But I'm just not sure how it might happen.

Hmmm, interesting. Do you do this in the middle of training camp? Though I do like the kid.

Only thing to say at that point is remember when they picked up DeBerg in the middle of the year? It only takes a couple of weeks for QB's to pick up the system, depending on the difficulty. I'm just stating that it can be done. QB's are typically the smarter players. I would welcome him to the roster, but who knows if it will happen or not. I just don't feel that Feeley has what it takes to be a starter. He has skills, but doesn't seem to be a gamer in all situations. Ferotte has looked good to me, but is just a short term fix.

Titans wont trade him, McNair is almost done and Volek is the future. I wouldnt mind having him though
