Billy Volek's Agent seeks trade...

They probably will be asking for a 2nd rd to stock up on picks to try to move up in the draft and go after Linenart. Besides him, I dont know of any QB's that have more potential than Volek, so I say lets give them a 3rd rd and a player. Choose from Feeley, Jordan, Thompson....
I would do this trade in a heartbeat!

You all sound like a bunch of suckers, honestly.. How is this trade scenario any different than the Feeley trade which most people assume was the worst trade of the century?

Both looked decent/good in relief on a GOOD offensive system.. Now you want to relive history? Give up a high pick for yet another "potential" guy who happens to be a backup in a notoriously good offensive system?

The Titans are in rebuilding mode, they wont want scrubs like Moore and company, they will want draft picks.. And they most likely wont part with Volek for less than a 2nd.. Volek was a FA a year ago, no interest then.. He has a couple good games, ala Feeley, and now its time to make a trade? Some of you astound me...

His agent asked the Titans for permission to seek a trade with a team that will give him a chance to be a starter. Thought it may interesting to speculate on. Here's the link:

Yeah, I read it too, but refuse to be drawn into the "Go after this guy" routine...I really doubt that there will be too many major changes in our team...perhaps a surprise vet will get cut or put on IR, but even if we went after Volek...(and I like the idea...he fits Linehan's long ball routine well), he wouldn't be too effective for us this year...he'd come in too late...Unless something happens real quick...

Volek agent is Drew Rosenhaus. Stay away. He just doing this because of what happen in Chicago.

I was screaming when they did not even look at him last year when he was a FA. He started games the prior year and looked better than Feeley did on a better team. And Feeley did not sniff the field that year. . We go after a 3rd stringer that has not played in over a year instead of a guy that comes in on a team that was not that good and lights it up. We give picks galore for the 3rd stringer and $$$$$$ when Volek was a FA and signed for league min. That is why Spielman is gone!!!!!!

You are wrong...He never wanted to leave Tenn. That is why NO team had a chance of getting him...

the bears will be all over him, anyway i like sage, i think he may progress into a very good QB

No offense, but some of you folks are catching "anyone's better than who we've got virus".

He may have asked for it after he saw how much your qb's aren't pulling off Linehan's system. He'd be a great pick up for you guys. The guy can pull off consecutive 400 pass yd games. Something Gus couldn't do w/ Linehans system.

Frerotte looked very good against Chicago and he had a mediocre game against a very good J-ville defense. On what basis can you say that our QB's aren't pulling off Linehans system?

i think everyone needs to relax...
its only been 2 games hahah
If by the end of pre-season no QB looks half decent then we got a problem
but to be honest we dont need a nasty QB

we have the best RB duo in the NFL

I'm sure if you offered them Booker and a pick they might think about it, but I'd rather stick with what we have personally.

i dont see many desperate teams in need of a average QB. and that will drop his trade value. sucks for the titans. but **** them. music city miracle my ***.

Quick OT question for ya. My memory is slipping in my old age. Was the music city miracle the year that Flutie led the Bills to a great season onyl to have the job given to Rob Johnson for the meaningless last week of the regular season and then the playoffs too? I felt really bad for Flutie. And the Bills got what they deserved. Game wouldn't have been that close if Flutie played QB. They had a good team that year. Is that how it happened?

As for Volek, he played some great games last year. I can't see Tenn trading him though unless they get good value in return. With McNair, they will almost certainly need Volek at some point this season.

You're right. It was not a "Music City Miracle." It was Buffalo Unprecedentedly Pathetic Special Teams. :rofl3:
