Blackout extended

People are so broke, go to the mall on Saturday and see how many broke people are in South Florida. What blows my mind, and this is not an attack on anyone, is that people (especially down here) always complain about having no money, yet the malls are compeltely full of people buying garbage. Also, those that think that it is cheap to live in other cities are flat out wrong. You have to make nearl 1 1/2 time more in NY thatn South Florida to live the same life. Sorry for the rant.

To me it is not about money, it is about time. I can afford to go to a couple games a year, take my kid, buy snacks and souveniers, etc. It stings a little, but it's worth it to me. My issue is that I have a wife and 2 kids with hectic schedules and obligations. I live in West Palm, so a 1pm game is an all day affair, usually abandoning some part of my family and other obligations (kids football, Sunday school, birthday parties, school functions, etc). If I could teleport myself to and from the game and only lose from 1pm til the final whistle, no problem- I'm usually incommunicado at that time anyway watching the game. But to give up an entire day takes some planning and sacrifice beyond the dollars and cents.

so the only time these people could buy a ticket was on a holiday?? and the office was closed, so they are getting screwed?? they couldnt do it any other day? comeone.

if a person wants to buy a ticket, closing the ticket office for one day, a few days before the deadline isnt going to affect sales. they would simply buy the tickets the next day.

Please, this isn't Buffalo NY where people have been *********ing waiting for Football season to start, since there's nothing else to do up there. This is Miami, there's too much competition for entertainment dollars and the Dolphins were horrible last year. so yeah, some people are going to spend their hard earned $ somewhere else, specially since the Dolphins are not going to be very good this year. There's a million things to do in Miami for half of the $$$ you would spend on a dolphins game. It's a lot harder to sell out a football game in South Florida than in Buffalo, nowhere, NY.

If there is only a few thousand seats left and they don't sell out to the public by 1pm on Friday, some company/corporation will purchase the remainder to lift the blackout.
YOU KNOW YOU ARE THE ONLY BUFFALO FAN I EVER I AGREE WITH...... :D

my point was, that i do not believe the 1 day the ticket office was closed, due to a holiday, resulted in less tickets being sold. and i dont believe the "due to the holiday" excuse given as the reason the black out deadline was moved back.

it would be nice to see the owner, if not a seperate company, buy the remaining tickets. then give them away to hospitals or whatever, then get a tax write off. ;)

give it up. Even if the blackout is lifted, if your team doesn't win, there will be more blackouts and the question is, will you keep making such threads every week?

The dolphins have one of the biggest fanbase spread out all over the country and Canada. Not everyone can fly game after game with the gas prices affecting plane ticket prices. If you look closely, So. Fla does not have a whole lot of people interested in football but they will salsa on the dance floor anyday.

Do the Bills fans make threads like this when they don't sell out?

Because they do have them seasons ya know? ;)
