What blows my mind, and this is not an attack on anyone, is that people (especially down here) always complain about having no money, yet the malls are compeltely full of people buying garbage. Also, those that think that it is cheap to live in other cities are flat out wrong. You have to make nearl 1 1/2 time more in NY thatn South Florida to live the same life. Sorry for the rant.
To me it is not about money, it is about time. I can afford to go to a couple games a year, take my kid, buy snacks and souveniers, etc. It stings a little, but it's worth it to me. My issue is that I have a wife and 2 kids with hectic schedules and obligations. I live in West Palm, so a 1pm game is an all day affair, usually abandoning some part of my family and other obligations (kids football, Sunday school, birthday parties, school functions, etc). If I could teleport myself to and from the game and only lose from 1pm til the final whistle, no problem- I'm usually incommunicado at that time anyway watching the game. But to give up an entire day takes some planning and sacrifice beyond the dollars and cents.
