so the only time these people could buy a ticket was on a holiday?? and the office was closed, so they are getting screwed?? they couldnt do it any other day? come on.rainmaker1313 said:offices were closed, giving them an extra day to make sales, what is your beef with that?
DreamWeaver said:Why? If there are only a "few thousand" tix left then the local station will buy them up & put on the game. With the walk-up crowd the game will sell out.

if a person wants to buy a ticket, closing the ticket office for one day, a few days before the deadline isnt going to affect sales. they would simply buy the tickets the next day.
but i dont care, sell out. just more people there to boo the QB after a mistake. (im told yall boo, and saban got mad..... just pointing out facts here... :couch: .)
yeah, people don't understand that in Miami people make a lot less $$$ and we have to pay a lot more in inflated insurance costs and other things. and it's not just $40 or $50, it's $20 for parking, plus beer and everything else. You're looking at close to $100 dollars per person per game, that's not a lot in NY or somewhere else where the salaries are higher, but it's a lot down here.Dolfan73 said:Broke as well...as have stated in previous post. Had tickets to the last game and couldn't make it due to my cashflow. South Florida, has a very very rich tax base. But unfortunately IMO a lot of these "moneybags" are transplants and really can't stand the dolphins. Its the working guy who would die to go to more than one game a year...and can't. Very sad. Although i do plan on getting season tickets next year, they're still probably gonna be nosebleeders.

its called a rivalry. :Drainmaker1313 said:Wow, You are pretty high and mighty on your Bills? Why is that? What have they done? They suck, they will be fighting it out with Miami for a 7-9 or 8-8 record. You need a reality check, Bills suck!
Justasportsfan said:give it up. Even if the blackout is lifted, if your team doesn't win, there will be more blackouts and the question is, will you keep making such threads every week?
The dolphins have one of the biggest fanbase spread out all over the country and Canada. Not everyone can fly game after game with the gas prices affecting plane ticket prices. If you look closely, So. Fla does not have a whole lot of people interested in football but they will salsa on the dance floor anyday.
