Boston about to replace D.Thompson as 3rd WR

Wont be long before Boston is a starter. Booker's mind isn't there, and Boston is out to prove something.

There is nothing wrong with Booker right now. He's still the best route runner on the team and has the best feel for finding the openings in the zone. He made two good plays in the preseason game the other day.

Derrius may become good trade bait though. A team like Philadelphia may be willing to give up a draft pick for Derrius, because they need help at wide receiver badly. Derrius, at his worst, is a solid back up receiver.

Booker's fine. That was last season. He's still going to start opposite of Chambers.

You think we can get a second rounder for him?

About time, it would be nice to have a slot reciever who can catch the ball.

I highly doubt it... if only Pitt was a NFL team, we could probably get Wanny to give us a 1st rounder for him.

The only think Derrius has done for this team was the winning TD in the New England game last year.
And look how many people on here made him out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread after he did that too.
No surprise about Boston, he`s got something to prove this year.

Thompson drops too many passes, with the exception of the New England game he doesn't make my highlight reel. Hope Boston and Gilmore pass him by.

Boston will be a good slot, Gilmore good #4 DT has overstayed his welcome, he drops too many big play balls, his catches sometimes either make or break a Miami Drive

Definitly good new about Boston, I think Gilmore would be good no.4, I thought Gilmore should be ahead of thompson, especially last season, I remeber he filled in a few games for Chambers when he was injured, and didn't do too bad, he played pretty well against the Jets. I think the Trio of Chambers, Boston and Booker could be pretty dangerous, but I like the thought of Gilmore being in on those shotgun formations with all four on the field. He has good hands, but he is also fast, so he can stretch the field, and maybe surprise a defense. I just hope the these guys stay healthy, especially Boston.

Or maybe he's cognizant of how frequently wide receivers go down in training camp.

Making this a criticism of Saban is an almost incomprehensible stretch.

I don't think its' a strech when the guy drops every thing on the field of play. He does have the tapes from last year. I think If thompson hadn't made that great catch against NE last year I think he would be gone already. A Great catch doesn't make up for a receiver who drops way to catches. Saban will find out soon enough...
