Boston about to replace D.Thompson as 3rd WR

If Boston stays healthy it won't be long until he supplants Booker in the starting lineup IMO. He is the only COMPLETE players at WR we have. Chambers has speed and hands, and makes great adjustment on the ball... but his route running is SERIOUSLY below par and he does not have a feel for getting open in space against defenses.

Booker, on the other hand, is a great route runner, has a knack for getting open and ,aking tough catches, he just doesn't have the speed for lots of YAC or going over the top.

I'm HOPING Boston stays healthy and continues to get back on track, and if he does I guarantee he will be starting at some point during the season.

I think it came a point and time where we were done, and between the quarterback staying upright, and him staying upright long enough for the receivers getting off the line, there just wasn't a chance!

Actually, last year our offensive system didnt allow hot reads. That was one of the things that Feeley complained about and p*ssed off Dave.

Teams dared us to throw with 8 in the box last year and we looked silly. Why didn't we use hot routes to counter this last year?

somebody asked Wanny why aren't we using hot routes? Dave replied "I don't like horseradish."

Derrius Thompson really should go. He is an average receiver and I think any team would be crazy to give a second or a third round for him. Derrius Thompson really should go. Hope boston pans out, but ew that OLine might slow that. Derrius Thompson really should go.

Iffffffffffffffff the line can give atleast 4 seconds of protection.......Ill agree. maybe even 3.95 second.

If defense dont respect the protection or the QB...They will put 11 in the box.

Your dreaming but I hope it comes true.

3 seconds max...

It's safe to say everyone was expecting this. But i agree on hearing about Gilmore passing him, thats a battle i will be playing close attention to. Which also makes Dolphins pre-season games still interesting in the 2nd half because there are guys who could be competing to climb the depth chart not really a bunch of nameless scrubs like i have to sit through here watching Eagles games.

Derrius Thompson should have been evicted one day after the 2004 season ended. It makes me question Saban's personnel evaluation that he's still around. Maybe Nick is a nicer guy and softer touch than we've been led to believe. Or someone in the organization told him he had to keep Thompson around for a while after the NE catch, just like Spielman was kept on the clock for six bonus months because Huizenga liked him personally.

Thompson has even worse instincts and football sense than hands. His routes are a farce. Picking him up was a ridiculous attempt to find an Oronde-type player. I'm 6-3 and know a rew rhymes. Maybe tomorrow I'll be Muhammad Ali.

Why cut him? I dont like DT, but no need to cut him until its time to cut! He makes a good #4 or 5 for now. Wont be long before he is cut though

....It was inevidable that DB would be the #3....He just had to get onto the field and show what he can do..and he did..

Scary to think what this guy will do to the smaller nickel corners. That 5-7 yard curl route should be there all day since most won't try to jam him.

If we can get one of our QBs to step up it could be fun to watch. A #3 receiver with Boston's speed against an opponents #3 corner could be reminescent of Az Hakim in St. Louis. The difference being that if a defensive back IS in position to make a play Boston has the power and size to run through him.
Im not a big Boston fan because of his history, but he really could be a fun show.

I think in 4 wide receiver sets we will have the advantage as well. Just got to have the line hold up long enough for them to get off the line.
