Boston Globe - Ross Wanted To Trade Down To Save Money

So a guy worth about $10B, paid Suh the most money ever for a defensive player, and donated basically the entire College of Business at Michigan is worried about a couple million over the life of a four year contract?

I think the biggest question here is how can someone at the Boston Globe allow that to be published and stay employed.

Mr Ross may have asked the question of whether we should deal with one of the teams wanting to trade up for the #11 spot. We know that we were getting calls. In asking the question, Mr Ross got a firm response from his key people (ie Grier, Gase and Tannenbaum) not to deal and to grab Minkah Fitzpatrick. Just by asking the question and getting a strong response, Mr Ross learned that he had strong ownership in the Draftpick by his key Dolphin stakeholders - ie they own it. That was probably his goal in asking the question.

Yeah sure the guy that paid for the stadium upgrades in the hundreds of millions didn’t want to pay the first round tender. The source is a pats source. BS. The pats must be getting nervous to be taking shots at us.

I too call bs...nobodies spent close to Toss the past 5-6 yrs. BMF over here.

Ross, the guy who has been literally throwing money at this team and their stadium?

Sounds about right.
