would we need to put our first round pick in to get one of these guys? I dont think there is a much need for quarterback around the league. We are one of the few teams that really needs a young quarterback.

I expect we'll need to use a first round pick on a QB next year whether in the draft or as a trade. Mule is, however, one of the best at making good value trades. I don't necessarily always agree with whom he gets, but he never over pays.

A.J. Feeley is still a wildcard. He could either a) pull a Drew Brees, or b) just flat out bust (Even though, personally, I want option A to happen).

Sage Rosenfels......... I say give him a chance for the starting job.

Brock Berlin. I don't know. He's a major gamble. Considering that Saban tried to recruit Brock throughout college says something though. Oh well. I'm neutral on him. So, I'm going to play the wait and see game. If he makes the PS, then my optimism for this guy will rise.

you must have felt that i insulted your team or QB. though it might have sounded that way, it was not ment that way. i was stating the situation.

the chargers will keep the better of the 2 QBs. if Brees is traded/cut than its obvious that last season was a freak of nature, and the draft pick with no NFL experience beat him out of a job. in that case, do you really want Brees after we all learn hes not as good as we all thaught he was?

or if the chargers trade P. Rivers, its obvious that this top 5 draft pick hasn't lived up to his hype. (though i really like him, living in NC just outside raleigh, and i dont see this happening). the fins would basically be taking a risk on draft pick. rivers would have no real experience being the starter. and its still a gamble if he will become a good QB.

and ill also add that the very high 2nd rounder you traded away for feeley would be a complete mistake. but thats a seperate argument.

as far as the bills, we got a qb who has shown enough in practice and watching from the sidelines to be labled the starter. now this is still a gamble, but atleast the bills know what we have in losman. the fins would not have a great idea of what Rivers is like. (since if hes traded he probubly didnt start or play much all season).

I believe he will be a one year wonder, unless LT and Gates carry him again this year.

but what are your thaughts on Rivers? i thaught he was very good in college. but im slightly biased living so close to raleigh, and i watched him more than other college QBs.

I don't follow college as closely as NFL. From what I heard, he should be a very good QB in the pros. But college is a different game. What I do like about him though, is the fact he isn't demanding a trade or crying for playing time. (not like he could with the year brees had).

How you going to feel if we do get him next year, hypothetically?

By the way, I never said anything about fielder. And if your arguement is that brees is better than fielder then I agree. It doesn't mean I still don't think he is a one year wonder.
