Brent Grimes is better than Richard Sherman

Defensive MVP hands down right now on our team. Extremely solid.

I haven't watched every play and I know he hs been good but I have seen that pass rush close out numerous games and give you numerous chances to win. That helps a DB and I would say Wake is your DMVP.

Just shows you havent watched many of the games. Please dont comment on things you are not privy to. He's a household name but he isnt the DMVP. That would be either Vernon or Grimes.

He's has 1 sack since his 3 sack performance 5 weeks ago and to make it even worse he has only had sacks in three games this season. I love Wake and this defense absolutely needs him but lets be realistic here, he isnt the defenses most valuable player. Perhaps the second or third most valuable player but not the #1.

fully healthy hes the straw that stirs the drink on the d...vernon gets more one on ones cause the offense is focused on cam wake...difference is this year vernon is making more good on those opportunities

All these stats and shot being thrown around, but basically this is a thread about why Grimes isn't getting national attention.

First I'll say, who the **** cares if anyone nationally cares about our team.

Secondly, when the TEAM wins GAMES, the attention will come.

There is only ONE stat I care about at the end of a ball game. Wins and losses.

It's not Grimes' fault that the offense averages 21 points a game - 24th in the league. So if he doesn't get recognition because we don't win any games, that might make you happy but it would be grossly unfair to his value to this team.

Hey Hoops, did you notice how often Jordan got double teamed on the snaps he lined up as pass rusher? Jets were worried about him, maybe forgot about OV to an extent. Those are the benefits of having 3 good pass rushers.

it's not all about sacks, it's about pressure and commanding attention.

Thought this was very interesting when I looked up the numbers. Since Sherman is considered shut down, and one of the best corners in the league or arguably THE best corner in the league, according to these numbers, Grimes is better. I dont know their QBR against but I love that Sherman is the loudmouth and gets all the attention while Grimes, a better corner using the numbers below, is the unsung hero. Ross needs to make Ireland lock him him at any cost (the reason why I say Ross needs to make Ireland lock him up is because I'm not confident that Ireland is smart enough to resign him).

The way Grimes is playing right now, Miami needs to forget about age or prior injury, because it's going to be as while before anyone sees decline in his game, and when it does happen, and either retires or is let go, he will probably still be a quality corner. Miami needs to sign him now, before it become way to expensive a move....if it's not too late already.

True but we are talking about THIS seasons DMVP not what would have or could have been. Point being to pick Wake over another player who deserves it more would be unfair.
