Brian Hartline

Keep in mind he also had that surgery to remove his appendix. Maybe there's something there that's not right and is keeping him from practicing.

So the opinion here is that since we suck so bad at WR, lets cut a proven above average player to give a chance to guys who have been drafted in the 6th, 7th, and some them who havent been drafted at all? And on top of that, to players who have been on the practice squad for as much as 3 years now...? How long has Wallace been on the team? What about Pruitt? and Moore? And they havent done squat! Hartline's stats arent that good by any means, but at least he has stats...

Decent deep threats have more than 1 td in the past 26 games
To his credit, Henne couldnt hit a moving barn let alone a wr in stride & Moore is definitely not one you would label as accurate. Really wanted to see what Hartline was able to do with an accurate QB.

This. If he gets on the field at some point and doesn't perform in new scheme and new qb then don't resign after this year but no sense cutting him now.

Interesting to note that his rookie contract was for $2.4m but $1.4m of that is in his final year (ie this year). I think that he has played pretty well with limited opportunities even with Henne throwing the passes.

He might not want to pop loose any stitches or staples.

Or, more likely, he had a bad infection as a result of the appendicitis. He could be on antibiotics, and if that's the case I understand why he's not participating. Some of them mess with your mitochondria and make you feel like crap-- certainly in no shape to keep up with practices. Some also elevate the risk of tendonitis-- another reason to avoid strenuous activities.

Don't we have some hot shot So. Flo. sports reporters that can find out the scoop? I mean O. Kelly can do ANYTHING! And he knows EVERYTHING! Just ask him..

How on gods green earth is he ABOVE AVERAGE????? The dude sucks and gets so much love on here for doing nothing in 3 years. Hell Teddy Ginn and family scored more TDs in one season then Hartline has in the last 2 season. Even with Moore at QB he couldnt score more then 1 TD. I just dont see why people on here are ok with him doing nothing here but other players do nothing and get murdered on this board for the same thing. Ginn is a perfect example. Ginn in one season had 790 yards receiving with 2 TDs and 2 Tds rushing and alot of return yards and did more then Hartline did the last 2 years and Everyone here wanted to kill him every week.

BTW Hartline had a 16.6 % drop rate last year. 7 dropped passes in 42 catchable balls. He had one of the highest drop rates in the league. Marshall who dropped alot of balls had a better drop rate then him at 14.7%...... so its not even like he is the most sure handed WR we got or even close to it. Ok speed and not so good hands. No play making ability and has had no time to play this offseason with Tannehill and learn the system and people want to keep him?!?!?!? I dont understand.... Sorry but if the guy was named Ginn and put up the same numbers Hartline has the past 2 years he would have been roasted every week but this scrub gets a free pass.

Moore has one of the best deep balls in the league, and even with Henne at the helm early and Moore's struggles to get going out of the gate, we we still one of the top teams in the league last year in big plays.

Please stop making up things to support your own view of things.

Hartline hasn't had limited opportunities. He was GIVEN a starting job after dropping most of the passes thrown his way in preseason 2010, and has proceeded to be the least productive STARTING receiver in the league the last two seasons.

Only Derrius Thompson was less productive for the Dolphins as a starting receiver.
