Forget over-priced Suh, bring Big Vince home to plug the hole in the middle, then use the savings to sign Revis or McCourty, whichever one the Pats let go.

I've been arguing for years that we should sign the Pats top playmakers (wanted Edelman last year), adding to us and subtracting from our key rival. So far we haven't done it, and they keep rolling. If we or anyone else signed Edelman last year, they probably wouldn't have won the Super Bowl.

Of course, I'm a bit biased, because whoever is playing the Pats is my second favorite team every week.

All kidding aside . . . he'd be a guy Miami should look into (barring Suh doesn't sign here).

Solid veteran, we have guys like Anthony Johnson and AJ Francis who could learn from him. He's a stuffer and would help the run game out immediately. I also resign Odrick and keep Mitchell in this scenario. Probably a 1 or 2 year guy, but that is ok.

Still, Suh > anything at this point. Swing for the fences.

Why does anyone worry about the money? Its not hurting any of us in the least and the guy dolling it out is one of the richest owners.

Pretty good second choice if we don't end up with Suh. He's got a couple good years left and would be an upgrade. He's still a monster.

Definitely less about the money and more about the structure. We have a GM, a guy that is pretty much the GM "overseer" in Tannebaum and a cap specialist in Aponte . . . combined with the 2nd richest owner in football, you are right, there should be NO WORRIES about money or cap. If Miami is going after him, they are more than confident that it won't be an issue.

This is the same team that went after Peyton Manning and was prepared to give him 20 million per season. Money is no issue . . . Ross knows the revenue coming in if he builds a star football team in Miami. He got to watch what a player like Lebron did for the Heat. You combine a young budding QB in Tannehill and the most feared name on defense in football in Suh . . . with a pretty damn good looking renovated stadium in the works . . . . money will be falling for him.

Ross wants this.

exactamundo. Now everyone in front row will see Suh a little closer.

I dont exactly see why people hate on Ross. Other than his silly notions of hollywood part owners thing and circus paint on stadium, there really is not much to complain about here.

Won't happen.

Vince has ALWAYS hated the dolphins, long before he was a patsie. He was a bucs fan growing up.

He has said more than a few times he would never ever play for the dolphins. And I believe him. He was a great player and pretty good now but he was NEVER, EVER been the caliber of Ndamikon Suh. And certainly not now at his age.

We have to start investing in talent with emphasis on talent. Players who will be here a while and not stop gap, once upon a time geezers. And all this we can get one cheaper thing I am always hearing from fans is perplexing. When the emphasis is on cheap and not on talent, well, you get the team we have now and the same teams we have had for well over a decade.

Suh is a good start to ending that.

which is going up every year 10 mil. It seems to me that teams who cannot attract big money players are going to be in trouble by not spending!

Not so sure about that. Seattle won 2 years ago with mostly home grown guys and without big noney FA's. Pats won last year with one big money FA - Revis. It was about signing the one right guy who changed the complexion of the defense, not about throwing money around. We, on the other hand, threw big money at Wallace, who wasn't a great fit with the QB we have, or a good team guy.

Not saying I'm against Suh if he's the right fit and can change what we do, but still have concerns.

Suh the most feared name on defense in football? Do you know about a guy named JJ Watt? He runs laps around every other defensive lineman in the game.

Tell that to the Saints.

Heck, tell it to the Dolphins. So many players we've had to release we would have kept if they had reasonable contracts. Even our best receiver was in the conversation until recently.

JJ Watt is the best, but that doesn't mean people don't fear Suh...who is perhaps the most Violent defensive player in the game...
