what should we do about ronnie?

ok....the reason why i think that 22 million might be too much is because it would affect are cap room to sign people in the future.... i would give ronnie all the money in the world if this was baseball (no salary cap)

Agreed especially with unproven rookies, but I just want him to sign a contract and get into camp so he can help us win games.
 
it's bs just because alex smith @$$ raped the 49ers, we shouldn't have to pay that much too...
eli manning had so much more potential and everyone was like =-o eli!! many people didn't even think alex smith was the most talented player in the draft...honestly this is absurd, he won't even be carrying a huge load this year with ricky back he'll have his time split, forget 22mil garunteed money, that's a joke.

I think that they should pay them on their performance for the first year and not their potential. Look at the Kevin Winslow debacle...
 
let his *** hold out, let Gordan start the season, and Ricky, come off his 4 game suspension.....

There is no way out of this. We have to pay the man. The NFL is the King when it comes to controlling salaries and making players earn their money. That being said, this rookie stuff has got to stop. It's the exact opposite of the NBA, where stiffs are way overpaid, and the rooks are capped out at a reasonable salary. Brown may be the highest paid RB in the league when they sign him, which would be ridiculous. You think the NFLPA would want to see some of that cap money go to the vets in the league and not to a rook who may or may not make it.
