Good point, Jimmy James. That's true.

Jimmy James said:I'm sorry -- was Feeley a rookie last year and everbody hid it from the world by suggesting he was a veteran from the Eagles?
The two situations aren't close to comparable. You might think he's the next Rich Gannon, but those who support Frerotte and Fiedler feel or felt the same way about them.
MDFINFAN said:And Feeley's learning Linehan system as well as Gus in a shorter period of time...AJ clearly has upside.
Bigbucks24 said:I understand that the situations are not identical. But the point I was making is that just because he didn't perform to starter standards last year doesn't mean that he cannot become a starter. I have no high aspirations of him becoming a Pro Bowl QB. I just don't agree that because he couldn't beat out Jay last year, that makes him unworthy this year.

TheMadPorpoise said:The difference is Carey is a 23 year old second year lineman. Feeley is a 28 year old quarterback with less starting experience than some college seniors.
Jimmy James said:It isn't just because of last year -- it's because of this year as well. Once might just be a coincidence, but twice starts to look like a pattern.
Bigbucks24 said:Agreed. But don't you think he has been at least "solid" in his last 2 performances?
