Can we get Seattle's OC?

you need Seattle's QB not OC

I think the whole team looked great and polished. Right down to the way they break huddles and congratulate players coming off the field. Credit Coach too.

The offensive schemes in Miami leave Tannehill with a greater % of difficult throws than I can ever remember seeing. He is regularly required to throw into tight windows, very quickly, from dirty pockets, just before getting smacked, etc, etc...

It was cool to see that trick shot video with Tannehill, because that's basically the Mike Sherman offense. Ask him to rip a frisbee through a 5" slit fifty or so times a game. It's silly.

Tannehill asked to carry the Miami offense:lol:

:bobdole:

Don't you have something better to do.

Go stroke TGG about Sanchez some more, bet they can't wait for your return.

Yes Tannehill is asked to carry this offense. You wouldn't know this because even you yourself has stated you don't watch Miami games..

All you watch are Jets games and drive here and there. GTFO with this bull**** act you got.

the focal point is mike wallace but tannehill is ABSOLUTELY asked to carry this offense...

it's more than that though...the option routes the setting of the protections etc this offense is not easy...he is asked to do more than any other first 3 year qb in the game that i know of...

nick foles though imo is a system qb...that systems helps him put up those numbers...

all things being equal what russell wison has is sustainable over the long term...i like him as the long term 3rd best qb in the 2012 class...behind tannehill and luck

tannehills upside left still and ceiling trumps em all imo if he ever reaches it...

What concerns me about Wilson is his height. It remains to be seen if defenses will be able to exploit that consistently. If he can be kept in the pocket, he is less effective. I will always favor the QB that is better from the pocket until there is a sufficient trend in the league to change that. Right now, Russell Wilson is the exception. How long he remains that way is yet to be determined. He still has the occasional complete game clunker (8 out of 19 for 142, 12 out of 23 for 123, 10 out of 18 for 139, 15 out of 31 for 201). That's 4 out of 12 games this season. I can't even imagine the noise that would be generated here if Tannehill put up those numbers.

I give him credit for rarely making mistakes but, again, he has the luxury of not having to do it alone.

You know, like the Jets running game in 2009 and 2010.

That is probably why you are 6-6.

6-6 because of an ineffective running game, poor pass blocking, and poor play calling..... yes, I agree.

hey i'm with you...the number of miss guys with that height and game is too llarge to count...but if seattle can keep that team around him ie the run game and the defense his warts will never show as much as they would if he didnt have em...he's not a carry you on his back qb but he's a gonna make plays when they are there and not screw it up qb...

his game also isn't played to contact...what he has is much more sustainable over the long haul than rg3...

you guys can run, you throw way too much and it has hurt you. if you run more you will make the playoffs.

yeah dude...we can really line up and knock em off the ball in short yardage and goalline...this team can't run when the opposition gives em 8 man boxes...we have seen enough to know that

keep trying

Wilson is asked to carry his offense less than any quarterback in the league, as the Seahawks run the ball a greater percentage of the time (roughly 53%) than any other team.

However, Wilson attempts the fifth-most passes in the league of at least 20 yards in the air, and he completes the greatest percentage of passes in the league (a whopping 60%) of that kind.

Tannehill, by contrast, is asked to pass the ball on a greater percentage of his team's offensive plays, but his downfield throws are less frequent (10% to Wilson's 14.8%), and he completes only 35.6% of them.

Seattle's line surrenders the second-greatest percentage of pressured dropbacks in the league (45.2%), to the Dolphins' 32.9%, which ranks 23rd in the league. Moreover, Tannehill is sacked on a league-leading 26.9% of his pressured dropbacks, whereas Wilson is 17th in the league in that regard, at 17.6%. The Dolphins' line is ranked 17th in the league in pass blocking efficiency by PFF, whereas Seattle's line is ranked 20th.

When you consider within the above context the quarterback related variables that are most strongly correlated with winning -- QB rating, YPA, net YPA, and adjusted net YPA -- and consider that Wilson is head and shoulders above Tannehill with regard to them, I think it's fairly easy to conclude that Wilson is playing the quarterback position in its entirety far better than Tannehill right now.

just b/c you are foolish enough to ignore the run doesn't mean you can't, we have BY FAR the best run D in the league and you guys ran it well against us yet abandoned the run game which kept us in the game.

Because they run the ball more than anyone and do it effectively, they can use the play action pass to get people wide open. This would help Wilson's completion percentage down field. When you're throwing into 5 yard windows as opposed to 5 foot windows it makes a large difference.

This problem lies with the OC, not the QB.
