Can we get Seattle's OC?

Because they run the ball more than anyone and do it effectively, they can use the play action pass to get people wide open. This would help Wilson's completion percentage down field. When you're throwing into 5 yard windows as opposed to 5 foot windows it makes a large difference.
Tannehill's completion percentage off of play-action (63.2%) is better than Wilson's (61.5%).

Good numbers for both but what it says to me that Tanne can be more effective if they ran the ball at a higher rate. This, in turn, can lead to more wide open opportunities down the middle of the field. I don't have the numbers but just from the eyeball test it seems like he has more success in the middle of the field than on the sidelines.

This problem lies with the OC, not the QB.

I don't blame Ryan for that, that is on your OC.

Tannehill's performance week-to-week in terms of QB rating and YPA is uncorrelated with the percentage of offensive plays in which the Dolphins have run the ball.

His QB rating is at least 22 points lower throwing to the middle of the field than when throwing elsewhere.

The "eyeball test" is garbage.

the eyeball test tells me Wilson is MUCH better than Ryan, it's not even debatable.

he gets better looks because of it but miami should be using more pa on first down etc than we have...and that ones on the oc...

darrell bevell is night and day better than mike sherman...it's a different o but he gives his qb clean good looks in a variety of ways that we don't get to see much from sherman

that's what people say who's eyes are always closed
Huh?

Not to a Jet's fan its not and it shouldn't be. They should be worried about getting an NFL-caliber QB. You guys haven't seen good QB play in so long, you wouldn't recognize it if you saw it. When the world's last remaining Sanchez supporter doubts our QB, that is the best endorsement I can think of.

BTW, I told you so...... ha, ha, ha

Let's see Ryan win 4 road playoff games then we'll talk. Let's see him win one. if you guys get in you will likely be playing Indy and that is very winnable so let's see it.

that's a terrible way to evaluate a qb...aaron rodgers went on the road to arizona his first playoff start a winnable road game and lost...and took off after that

and it wasn't his 2nd year in the league either...

Aaron Rodgers led his O to 45 pts in a loss, he can be excused there. His last 2 playoff losses he hasn't been good though.
