CB Howard Misses Practice

Howard always starts slow and is injured, he will have his 8-10 interceptions at the end of the year.

We can not cut Howard anytime soon. The cap hit on a post June cut would be almost 10mill with only 100K savings for 2023. In 2024 the dead money would be over 7mill but the savings would be over 18mill. We have to hope that he can stay healthy most of the time but right now that's looking like a ton of money and not the best contract.

Is he tradable with his contract?
Not advocating for it, just curious our options

I'd love for us to have a run-heavy game where we eat clock, score points, and rest many of our injured starters. I know....a man can dream.

Howard has been pretty atrocious to start the season because of injury. Defense will probably be better this week without him. Just sit him. Get him healthy.

not sure how a trade would work cap wise though I imagine the other team would inhibit but his remaining contract. Most teams don’t want to trade for a player with a big contract plus injury history such as his.
