Chad Ochocinco released, states Dolphins possible landing spot.

This is true.. He is a very good route runner.. The reason why he sucked in NE was not because of his route running ability, it was because he didnt know the plays, of which led him to not knowing which routes to run. That is why Brady didnt trust him. That doesnt make him a bad route runner, it makes him a poor student of the Rats playbook.

yesterday on the NFL channel they played a series of clips while they were talking about him.

It was a pretty pathetic series of low lights. They show him dropping passes, stopping short on routes and just looking bad in every way. I remember there was a game where brady shouted at him.

I never liked his personality. He reportedly threw a punch at Hue Jackson at half time of Bengals game, remember?

Even though Jackson seems like the guy who baby sitted him and carried around his pacifier.

It might be good to bring him in just for the TV show. The charismatic but aging star trying to extend his career on a new team... You could have him compete against the young talent, showing glimpses of his former self, but ultimately falling short and cut in the season finale... Good storyline

Oh brother... can we please stay away from yet another diva...

Then again, he may just have a chip on his shoulder. But who do you get rid of?

Maybe not.

Yeah, I remember that... He was always a baby, there is no denying that, but with every low light, there are numerous highlights. There is no denying he had talent and was always one of the best and most feared receivers in the league however that time has long passed

Not like the Dolphins have anything to lose this season might as well bring him in for Hard Knocks.

Hope so! People that do not want him are blinded. Youre going to sit here and honestly say that Lego Naanee is a better option than Ocho-Stinko!

Yes, I would say that. Chad couldn't make plays with Brady throwing him the ball. He's an old 34, as if that weren't old enough for a WR.

This is just about the 3rd or 4th response to that post... You guys need to start reading down

I would why not? The pats always likes to poached people we cut and plus he could give us clues of their offense.

Apples and orangesBB would NEVER, EVER, NEVER,EVER,EVER,NEVER EVER EVER ,EVER bring in a player that could not or woruld not play in the bounds of his scheme. The issue with Albert was not his performance on the field. it was his lack of motivation to get on the field. BB thought he could motivate him enough to get on the field.

You cant be serious. The guy knows like 2 routes. And he cant block, and he drops a lot of passes, and plays street ball much lke Brandon Marshall did. To say Ochocino is a good route runner is a huge stretch.

I remember Bill Cowher said on NFL Today 2 years ago that he though Ochocinco was the most overrated player when they were discussing Sport's Illustrated's list of top 50 pverrated players, and he is rarely critical of people on air.

I'm not sure what the discussion was when Cowher made that comment but it is clearly known the Ocho is a VERY GOOD ROUTE Runner.

I'm going to stop defending Chad cause he is not a Fin BUT, so who really cares. I dont think they will bring him in anyway.

To clear up multiple misconceptions:

He is 34, not 38

He WAS known as a great route runner in Cinci. How do you think he caught all those balls and went to Pro Bowls?

He is a Diva in the sense of drawing attention to himself, but has been a team player and hasn't had a record of bad off field contact. He's not at all like Marshall, so the fact that they got rid of Marshal should not preclude bringing Ocho in.

The problem in NE was not athletic decline, it was not grapsing NE's complex playbook. Brady is very accurate, but if you don't do what you're expected to do, you won't get the ball. This is not a small issue, but it doesn't mean he can't pick it up in Miami.

Our receiving corps is very very weak. If we don't bring in SOMEBODY with a track record of success, we might conclude that Mr. Ireland is not a very good GM!

This is a very popular opinion. I see many TV analysts going on & on about it and many radio guys and casual fans.

The GM is probably more focused on developing talent and managing the salary cap.

I would MUCH rather see Clyde Gates or those other two young wrs get playing time, or even some of the rookies. I understand they may be unproven but at least they have not performed POORLY on the field, the same cannot be said for Chad Johnson.

He would be also be a MAJOR energy drain for the rookie head coach and new staff. No one wants to baby sit a millionaire diva WR. I'm excited about the new offense and the potential for us to see NEW WRs become major players.
