Channing Crowder Retiring...

it would be awesome to bring him back for like 2 years 2 million and just have him as backup..

I wish him the best. Happy that his kid gets to have their father around.

I liked him, consumate team player! Good luck to him and his family in future endeavours!

an all-talk, contemptible douchebag whose play never came close to matching his mouth. Great news for everybody

wow.....didnt see that coming...is his injuries that bad?

EDIT: Or maybe he's just tired of playing football...its understandable,as a kid you dream it,as a man you dread it at timees

im only 17 and i hate every single practice

Ya, he went into it a little. He said he had some interest from the Patriots, Bills, Eagles and Bears, but just doesnt want to make the move and start over. He just got a new kid and wants to stay in Florida (which he loves) and be a family man. He still hates the Patriots and didnt like the whole experience of visiting them. He found it strange to look for a new team.

He did sound a bit jaded as well. Sounded a bit betrayed by Ireland.

thats weird wasn't he in his last year of his contract anyway? i mean there is 3 other teams in florida he could go like the jags and bucs.

ireland probably felt betrayed by him as well because crowder played like crap when dansby got hurt.

3rd round pick, started from day one on multiple positions, has been calling the defense for a while now... now says he wont play for anyone but the Fins and wants to spend more time with his kids... I totally get people hating on him... Shame on you Crowder...

am i the only one who wishes him the best?..dude is choosing his family over his career. that takes balls my friend..average player but seems like a good guy

Can't leave it alone. Some of you guys can't even tone down the bitching when a guy retires. I think his decision if it stands (if not who cares too) is classy. Doesn't have the heart to play for anyone else but the fins and wants to spend time with the fam. Even after we dumped him. Shows that he is a man that doesn't walk around like a pride stricken panzy. Not many people in this world with that character trait.

I couldn't agree with you more. Who knows after a year off I think he will be back in the NFL some where.

I'll always remember Crowder for always getting knocked on his *** time and after time again by Leon Washington. And always blindsided too. This guy had tunnel vision which is a bad trait for any linebacker.

holy cow...a 250 lb backer knocks out a 185 lb slot wr who didn't see him coming...impressive

That sad part is Crowder actually fell the other way when he hit Welker.. no power at all
