It dawned on me as I looking at some of the aviators on this site and listening to some of the reports from training camp that C.C. is a Top Ten Reciever in this league.
Yes, I realize that his stats may not rank as high as the other top flight WR's positioned above him, which imo reflect the limitations at the Q.B. position that we've suffered under. However, if you catch a glimpse of a few of the catches he's made that have been posted on this site.......... man they speak for themselves. He has all the tools: body control, length, speed and good hands.
I really think that with marginal improvement at the O-line and Q.B. position, Chambers will excell this fall and take his rightful place as one of the best in the league.

Peace...............................................

CC has struggled here without having a top notch QB to get him the ball consistently, that`s a given, but I don`t know if I`d go as far as to say he`s top 10....there`s lots and lots of good receivers in this league, every team has one.

yeah but some people rate him as low as in the 30's i believe after this season he'll be rated about 15, right now id say anywhere from 22-25, or some where around there

I would say he is top five in Hands, but overall reciever maybe top 10 or just out of it. I just dont hardly ever see him wide open. He doesnt have that break away speed, even though I know he is fast.

well i am going out on a limb and say that if we could get a really good qb to run our offense ole chris would kick it in gear and could be a top five wr for sure.
just for the record ,relly good qbs dont grow on trees you know.

true that

He's not big enough IMO... He's a great reciever, but he isn't dominant because he dosn't overpower the Db the way TO does...

He'd be better suited as a number two.

But I don't get how someone can be underrated when they haven't performed like a top 5 WR, regardless of the reason.

hes made some miraculous circus catches yes, but we've seen him drop his fair share of gimmies too. and the reason hes never wide open is because we've never had a real good Play action threat. even two years ago with ricky runnin all over we still didn't use the play action effectively. That should change this year, and freeze the secondary allowing chambers to make bigger plays.

it seems there isnt too much being said about chambers in the reports, which is a good thing, our expectations of chris are that he has a break out year and shows that hes truly a top ten talent in this league. if players do what is expected they dont get talked about as much. it is kinda funny how our reporters say how chris had a great one handed catch next to the sidelines and they do it in one line like its just an everday thing.

when chris chambers gets 1300 yards in a season he can be thaught of as a top 5 WR.

hell, he has yet to have a 1000 yard season. great players are great because they played great. not because they should have a great upcomming season.

I think its a little unfair to compare anyone to T.O. The only guy i can think of thats built like T.O. is boston. Chambers is short yes, but hes got a vertical leap of over 4 ft.

Linehans going to use chambers like he used moss. it should be a good fit, because moss didn't exactly plow people over either. Its Put up or shut up for C.C. this year in my opinion. Whether Miami has a good season or not, he needs to standout.

I just see chambers uses his leap and quick more than his power, and making him a slot guy would make him more effective IMO

Moss is great because he keeps excelerating the entire time he runs, dudes a freak.

But yes, this is a big year for CC, especially as my #2 fantasy reciever behind holt.

Name them. Every team does not have one. Very rare to find one that can play with speed and with strength.
Chambers is only 5'10", but weighs 210 so he is not a slightly built WR like Marvin Harrison. Chambers is tough to jam on the line of scrimmage and he has sprinter speed (unlike most of the bigger WR's).
He also is a very good leaper which compensates for his lack of height.
There are good WR's in this league, but not many that have the kind of physical attributes that CC has.
