clayton: dolphins out of rg3 race due to....

No quarterback is worth two or three drafts worth of players. I like RG III, but the price is way to high considering how many holes the Dolphins have to fill.

I disagree, I just am not comfortable that RGIII is a sure fire slam dunk. If I know I'm getting Aaron Rodgers part 2, then I'd give up 3 first rounders and 3 second rounders in a second and have faith that my GM can make up for that loss by hitting on some of those later picks.

so let me ask everyone who is saying the price is two much... if andrew luck was up for trade for three firsts and three second and thirds would you all do it

Not necessarily. Arizona gambled big on Kolb and came up snake eyes, and one year later they are already discussing cutting him and moving on. With RGIII, you would compromise two drafts worth of picks.

Don't get me wrong. I want NOTHING more as a Dolphins fan than for the team to actually grow some nuts and pursue the QB they believe can do the job...and if that is RGIII then so be it and I will be very happy. I am purely going off of what I would do, and based on how Ireland seems to covet draft picks more than anything on this team, I bet he feels similarly.

imo theres a right way to grow some nuts and to go crazy, and to trade 2 whole drafts for a QB that we can get for alot less and better ,maybe not as long term but still we wouldnt have to trade 2 drafts for ( Manning or Flynn) than to go crazy, so imo our BEST MOVE is to go after Manning or Flynn and keep ALL OF OUR DRAFT PICKS FOR 2 YEARS WORTH ,than to give up all that it will take to get RG3 when we can have even better in Manning or just as good if not better in Flynn .

The only way we should risk moving up to get RG3 is if there is no possibly way to get Manning or Flynn. I think we will get one of them....and I think Manning is the front runner right now.

Manning Griffin or Bust. No to Flynn.

How can you guys actually want Flynn? We have New England in our division.

Then have him throw to no one? Remember Green Bay drafted their playmakers, so if they gave up that many picks for Rodgers, the Packers aren't the team they are now. How about we don't give up multiple drafts for a player with star potential. It would set us back if RG3 is a bust, is often injured or is just a mediocre qb. You're literally talking about giving up 6 potential starters for 1. What sense does that make?

Flynn just doesn't cut it in my opinion. Even with his 6TD performance, if you go back and look at it, he doesn't make very many impressive throws.

Moore > Flynn.

If they absolutely know that RGIII is their guy, then you do whatever it takes to get him. If it is just dilly-dallying around with the idea, then I would say it is wise to use the picks elsewhere.

no. we need to keep all our future picks so we can draft Merling, White, Misi, Smith, Turner and Henne versions 2.0

if Flynn works great but man is this stupid. Its like the Cassell trade, oh look he had 16 games of film and looked great okay um theres a reason why he ****ing went in the late rounds and don't say Brady did too because theres been only 1 brady in the last 100 years so please be LOGICAL.

I don't like this flynn idea at all looks identical to Moore.

The price it's not too steep, Ireland will waste those draft 1st round picks in lineman anyway so make the trade.

Hey John Clayton!!! your full of sheet! St louis has to trade this pick by next week or two, Flynn and MAnning screw the whole thing up! good luck! Im calling your media shout up BS! I hate ESPN!
