Maybe we can distinguish between fantasy and reality?? If everyone were so serious all the time, we'd be like some dictatorial regime where we lock up comedians for using vulgar language.

Richard Pryor and George Carlin would laugh their asses off over this ridiculous story.

You are missing the key part of all this. Martin wasn't the ONLY ONE who was having these kinds of things said to... Every guy on the team wasn't picking on just Martin. It's something they did to EVERYONE in the lockerroom, and EVERYONE gave it back. It was guys yucking it up and razzing each other in the locker room, something that has gone on for ages. It just so happens that Martin was the only one who was offended by the antics, and didn't do anything to let anyone know it bothered him until he ran away and turned this into game for lawyers to get their kicks from.

So only professional comedians are allowed to attempt humor. Got it .

I am not even saying I found Incognito or this other player to be funny, in fact I don't. I find it boorish. But the attempt of humor (instead of malice) is obvious to me and anyone with half a brain cell. Martin's lawyers are trying to twist it into something it's not.

This whole thing is insulting to people who have actually been threatened, harassed and abused.
 
The more I see this story covered the more I think the media is the biggest bully in the situation.
 
I went to see Don Rickles recently. Some young woman walked out. A lot of the crowd was shocked and didn't know how to respond to his act. It was weird. I think they just saw 'comic' and decided to go, and had no clue what his shtick is.

It's generational. I think? I don't know.

I can understand where you are coming from but I also can not understand how if someone says that to me with real intent how I would be able to control myself and not go after that person? It does not make it ok but Im still confused with Martins actions or lack of. Also ESPN reported this mornig that about 90 percent of players in the NFL say they have been subjected to some of this stuff including the dinners etc. So when the NFL comes down and they will it better not be just on the Dolphins. If they want to change the culture they better do something across the board otherwise they are hypocrites.

CNN is still disappointed that George Zimmerman is free.

No, but I also wouldn't stand there pretending it was funny while talking the same way myself. And then save recordings of it for months to be used later in a financial dispute with a third party.

Actually, this whole thing is insulting to every women on the planet.
Oops... correction: to every women on the planet with a complete brain cell.

Note to fellow posters: In the future, we should endeavor to ascertain the brain cell status of those we criticize and make allowances in some areas for Skape and others claiming half-cell status.
