Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

They want a back in return so either Mostert,Wilson or dare I say achane would be going. I’d hate to move achane before seeing him in action however he’s cheap for Indy for the next 3 years costing them nothing with high potential. I’d only offer a 3rd if deal included achane the other 2 I’d give a 2nd.

icing on the cake we could have drafted JT to begin with, but took IGGY instead! this is so stupid!!!!
We could have. Probably would have won a couple more games in 2020 and not be in position to draft Waddle. Won a few extra games in 2021. Flores retains his job, and we don’t get McDaniel. Tyreek doesn’t see the appeal with Miamis offense, and joins the Jets instead.

Or we could have all of that, and get Taylor now to add to an offense that’s ready to compete for a Super Bowl.

I’m not saying it’s good to suck. I’m saying that we have the team that we have now because of our choices in the past. It’s possible that had we taken Taylor in 2020, he’d be the only offensive weapon we have on the team today.

Lets get this done :) Lets make up for the error of taking iggy before this stud when we were crying out for a RB.

If we didn’t want Dalvin Cook for no draft picks, and on a decent 1 year deal, why draft picks and a massive deal for JT, when we don’t even have cap space? Cook would have been a 1 year deal so his age is irrelevant. The best retort is JT is 24, and in his prime. BUT Dalvin Cook’s age is irrelevant, because it would have only been a 1 year deal, so not committing to him long term. Doing things like giving up picks and a lot of $ for JT is what makes a team mediocre, as opposed to better. RB doesn’t add that much value in modern NFL, you have to do the math. Add JT, whatever he brings, lose all the draft picks and the cap space and the players you lose along with that cap space. End of day, you are worse, not better. This move would be sooooooo Dolphins. Stupid. Just stupid. Dumber than Bradley Chubb, can already see what a waste that was!

PS every other team has figured out you don’t commit $ to a RB longer term because they don’t add enough value in the modern NFL, if blocking is good most RBs are sufficient (Dolphins guys are at least that, and if you look at the avg per carry pretty good), AND they get hurt all the time. Even the Colts have figured that out. Which is why they are willing to let JT walk, even at 24. If value the RB sooo much, why not just use a higher pick to draft one, and you can have a guy who is young, and cheap? Not that I am advocating using the high pick either, but you get the point.
