Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to be Traded

Now post the one with the highest paid RB on each team, or even the leading rusher for the whole season. (Not just the SB)

I get the point and it's partially valid but it's misleading.
Everyone is talking about Taylor putting Miami over the top and winning a SB so it is not misleading.

No one would argue that adding Taylor doesn't make the team better. Of course he is an upgrade over what they have, the point is upgrading that position is very unlikely to make a Championship difference.

Do you guys think the dolphins make this trade before the game tonight or is it too disruptive to do it on game day?

The context was for the Super Bowl per the initial post.

The point here is that we don’t need the star RB to “get” us to a Super Bowl. JT would simply be a piece of an overwhelming offense. Another layer to cause issues for opposing defenses.
The question is do you pay $12 million a year for an RB who is going to be "simply a piece" of your offense? I honestly can't say one way or the other. The only thing that's going to matter to me is the end result of bringing in and paying an RB like Taylor.

I actually think they are content going into the season with the running backs they have on the team now. That is why they didn’t overpay to sign Cook.

I think they would have gone into the 2022 season with the WR’s they had on their roster but once they had the opportunity to trade for Hill they took that opportunity.

Their interest in Taylor is similar to what they saw when Hill became available. They see a top 5 RB who might be available and that would upgrade their RB room. They have given the Colts an offer and so far the Colts don’t think the offer is enough to complete a trade.

I think they would obviously like to add one of the best RB’s in the game to their roster but I also don’t think they want to cave In to the demands of the Colts. Grier may continue talk to the Colts to work out a trade but if he thinks their trade demands continue to be too high, he will just go with the RB’s now on the team and be happy with those players.
I believe they didn't over pay for Cook was due to the cap situation. If we had the space he would have been a Dolphin.

These two beliefs don't match up.

The only people that would have this kind of information is Grier, McDaniel, and maybe Ross. Do anyone honestly believe this guy has an in with any of these guys or is he making things up?
Not necessarily. I have a family member who is in sports journalism. They hear things. Agents/Family/Friends talk. Just saying.

This particular guy? I don't. He's a Miami fan who lives in Baltimore posting about what the Colts want. Most of these types of people just regurgitate others and put their own beliefs/spin on things and they get posted here in a different form.

They might have let it leak to put pressure on Irsay.
