Congradulations Fish fans...come serve me up my crow.

Thanks for coming back...while I feel your offense played horribly, the Fins D had a lot to do with that. Our secondary had a very good day, but the DL really didn't give Jake much time, which makes the secondary look that much better....You are right about Shanny's lack of game plan adjustment...I couldn't believe he just called the same plays as if Anderson were in there...But, even tho we have a new regime and several new players on the DL, Shanny underestimated the improved run D that we had today...at any rate, I'd love to hear from you in the playoffs, but doubt that our O is good enough to get us there...

C'mon man, Saban went for it on 4th down from the 31, when he could have easily had Mare kick the field goal - and it wasnt even in the dirt. I wouldn't trash Shanahan for that particular move.
i would.

that was a horrible call... you kick the field goal.

the pros:
if you make the field goal, you cut the lead in half and keep the game close. you can hope your defense gets another turnover, as the dolphins are prone to turning the ball over.

the cons:
if you go for it and miss the TD, you come away with no points and your team's morale goes down the tubes... which is what happened.

at that point in the game, any one play could have changed the course of the game - it was too close. the broncos were starting to move the ball, plummer was starting to make completions. Had they scored 3 there, the game would have shifted to their favor. We had just thrown an INT and they were starting to move the ball.

so yes, it was a HUGE blown call.

this was one of those coaching moves that just shows that Shanahan had no respect for our defense, and too much faith in his offense.

Classy? This guy is a meathead. He comes in here and gives a bunch of excuses after shooting his mouth off? That's not class, it's a cop out.

No... he manned up... perhaps the only Donkey fan to do so... you have to give him props.

OK Fish fans...I said I'd be here win or lose...here I am. Congradulations on a great game. You're team played great. They came prepared to play and play hard. On our board right now an argument is raging about the heat being a factor in this. I think that's a very poor excuse. I know it's a factor but it wasn't the reason we lost this game. We got the crap kicked out of us from the first whistle, offense, defense, special teams, coaching...they all stunk. I posted on the Orange Mane that in spite what some are saying, the history of both the Dolphins and Bucs shows that when either of these teams is a .500 team or better, then have a great home record in September, and when they are below .500 then win about 30% or fewer of their home games in Septmember. Look it up and you'll see. Bottom line: Good teams do what's neccessary to win and bad teams don't. The heat did not lose this game. We stunk from the very beginning, long before the heat would have been a factor. Some observations:

1. When Mike Anderson went out right off the bat in the 1st quarter, which was a huge blow. Shannahan failed to adjust our running attack for Tatum Bell. TB is not a between the tackles power runner like MA and that was a horrible failure on his part. This was possibly the worst game I've seen from him. He had months to work on a game plan for Saban and got PUNKED by a rookie head coach. Shanny looked like Dan Reeves on a three day drunk in this game.

2. We failed to execute accross the board. Much of this was the Dolphins play as well, but there's no way this was anything less than a completely pathetic performance on Denver's part, and virtually every player on this team stunk it up. This is on the players as well as the coaches. They came in here expecting the Fins to lay down and they didn't. I think they were already planning on San Diego. Hopefully this is a huge wakeup call. Kudos to Saban for having his team ready. If he can prepare them this well each week you have a chance to suprise some people. It's very early, but I think you are better than last year for sure, though I still don't see more than maybe 8-8. That would still be a nice jump. We'll see what happens against San Diego next week but if we play like we did today we'll get beat by 50 next week. This team flat was not prepared to play this game and there is blame enough for everyone. Rod Smith may have been the only guy I saw who shouldn't be hangng his head right now.

3. Jake Plummer was ridiculous. I said Gus was a backup QB and I still believe that, but he flat out made Jake look like a rookie free agent today. Missed reads, missed passes, poor decisions...Jake has tons of work to do this week. We'll find out what he's made of this week.

4. Losing Champ was huge and losing Walls and Darrent Williams made it impossible to do anything. We had backup safety Sam Brandon starting at CB most of the 2nd half...LOL. I was amazed it took Gus so long to pick on him. Even at safety he's not a great coverage guy, but as a corner...he's completely lost. I don't want to use losing all these secondary guys as an excuse either, because even while they were in there the sucked.

I hope I was able to represent the Broncos fans well in here by keeping things on a football level instead of smack. I called it 35-10 Denver...the joke's on me. So whatever way you want to serve up my crow...I'm here to eat it. It's a long season. Maybe down the road we'll see you guys again. But if today was any indication, I doubt it. We have an extremely difficult schedule this year so if we don't pull our heads out we'll be going nowhere. I've watched this team for 36 years and in that time I've seen some sad stuff. There have been few any worse than this. I'm a diehard fan and will always support my team through good and bad...even though right now I'm just p*****. :fire:

Again...congradulations to Saban and the Fins players for a great and well deserved win. Now I'd like you to do us a favor and beat the dog outta our AFC rivals as well if you don't mind...:fire:

Man I have served up enough crow for today, you arent like some of the other Bronco fans that were here and your post proves it, god luck to Denver this season.

Hoofs thanks for being man enough to post here after your team lost....again it is just one game though. It hurt losing to Denver last December at Invesco but today was the Phins day!!!!!:)

Thanks for that stat on FLA teams winning in the heat mostly when they are good teams anyway. I was wondring how much the heat might of helped us today and your post makes me feel even better! Miami was the better team today for sure even if the heat was somewhat a factor. I guess it's like the Mile High advantage oxygen - wise, but they have to be good to win anyway. Thanks for your constructive criticism. If only Bills fans could be as intelligent contributors to the board! No crow for you! Good luck.

The bottomline is.........the Fins have been way underrated by everybody, thats ok, its just the way we like it.

Best of luck in your future games against AFC east teams this year.

hey bluefin! Did you notice the hit Roth put on Plummer after the INT and then acted as if he didnt do anything when Jake was in his face? I loved that! that was so cool! That was a clean hit too. He got robbed. :rofl3:

Roth got even for the cheap hit Al Wilson made on Gus earlier on when he pretty much slammed him from behind....paybacks are a *****.

Well, you came back and took your lumps. Good enough for me. What I liked is that Miami seemed to use my gameplan to a "T" They tested Champ's legs early, wore the D down and when the rookies had to come in after injuries, threw right at them and kept on doing it. It was a recipe for success.

I also hopes this puts to rest the notion that Denver's scheme overrides having a big fat tackles in the middle. Traylor did very well today and sucked up blockers to allow the LB's to make tackles at the line. I think Bell had one outstanding run and a few other decent gains but was otherwise, a non factor, as was anderson ( for obvious reasons ).

Anyhow, thanks for ocming back and owning up. come back after you beat the rest of the East for us and we shall give you props! ;)

^^I have tried to explain to Denver fans that teams coming from the west coast or the mountains don't understand what it takes to play in Miami in September. It's the same advantage you guys have playing in thin air.

we were the better team on Sunday and it showed, good luck with the rest of the season! ^^^

Thanks for stopping back by and for the commentary. Good luck to your team for the remainder of the season. If luck holds out, perhaps we'll meet again in the post season.

Well it's good to hear but I would love to hear at least one Bronco fan NOT make excuses of why they lost and just admit that they lost cause they were outplayed and out coached.
