Could Devlin push henne and start mid season?

The guy seems accurate and is loaded up on confidence.:idk:
Id be thrilled if he could beat out henne and provide stability at the qb spot.
With all the other Qb gone this seems like the best option if henne cant turn
it around...
 
Of course! Anything is possible. It really won't take much to outplay Henne. Moore is a distinct possibility as well.

I do think Henne will get his shot to lead the team the first half of the season though.
 
I wouldn't say "push". More like "pull". If the Dolphins head into the season with Chad Henne, Matt Moore and Pat Devlin, as they appear set to do, I will lay money on Devlin starting at least 1 game.

Very true. The fact that it is Henne doesnt really say much. Hennes leash is getting shorter and shorter. We are a couple INTs away from another QB carousel

He's a third string undrafted DII QB - Who was average at Penn State, not being able to beat out Darryl Clark.
 
When is the last time an undrafted rookie was an opening day starter? It just seems unheard of. I'd rather see Devlin sooner than later becuase I think the season may quickly go up in smoke with Henne. What do they do if Devlin clearly outplays him in the pre season? I guess it's a real long shot of him starting early in the season. Not only he is undrafted but it is shorter off season as well.
 
I remember reading a post from another member of the Finheaven Boards about Someone having a conversation with Ireland on boat trip and Ireland had mentioned Devlin ... If this poster was telling the truth, Devlin just might be the Diamond in the Rough Miami was hoping to find. without having to spend a 1st round pick on a QB .. After reading that post i watched a few Delaware Games to check Devlin out ... While i realize the poster could be blowing smoke, i felt Ireland would try to draft Devlin after his post seemed so convincing .. anyway, at least Devlin chose the Dolphins as an UDFA and looks to be a solid find .. I'm being somewhat hopeful Devlin can turn out to be another Tony Romo, in terms of another Gem Found by Ireland ...

I dont really think its that long of a shot. And its almost a guarentee that Matt Moore will start.
 
we will need more play maker on this team ... our head coach will be fired at end of this season....
 
I hope he does well, but didn't John Beck look like a superstar in camp and preseason before providing everybody with Dolphin lowlights in his starts in the regular season. And he was a 2nd rounder and I CLEARLY remember people saying he looked like "Dan Marino" out there in the preseason.
