Crowder = Vilma?

wow thats some serious stuff when it comes from you...i was gonna say that vilmas much better then him... but im going to guess your much better at evaluating thesr things then i am.

Don't back down. These are all opinions drifting into the cybersky. Yours is the far superior one in this case. In fact, his is looney tune. Not a single NFL team would prefer Channing Crowder to Jonathan Vilma at this point. Not even our own.

Even Draft Guru's are wrong about some things. You would think one would remember Channing being picked in the 3rd and Vilma in the middle of the 1st for a reason. Vilma had a great rookie year, Channing is still trying to catch upto Vilma's college career.

That is outright ridiculous. Vilma was a premier pick on merit and Crowder lagged into the 3rd not just based on injuries. Vilma is much quicker and more instinctive, a far superior open field tackler. Heck, just a better athlete. That is the defining characteristic time and again. Vilma would NEVER run right past the play without a clue like Crowder did on one blitz up the middle last night.

Crowder is overcoming his injuries and looks less stiff than he did last year at Gainesville. No one questions his motor or hitting ability or frame. He can also play inside or out. But he is no Jonathan Vilma, just like in time it will be proven Ronnie Brown is no Cadillac Williams.

Im going to completley disagree with you here. In two years, Crowder WILL be better than Vilma and Brown WILL be better than Williams.

Channing was injured, that was the only thing keeping him from being and early to mid 1st round pick.

Crowder wasn't better in college and Vilma had a great rookie year.

He hasn't had surgery since 2003, so how was he injured.

I also see a lot of busts.

Yatil Green
Kellen Winslow
Santana Moss
Jeremey Shockey
Ken Dorsey

Was this sarcasm?

Winslow hasn't played yet, he can't be a bust, he will be a third year rookie when he comes back.

If Moss is a bust then we should have cut Chambers 3 years ago.

Shockey is far from a bust.

Dorsey always sucked, you can't call somebody with low expectations that performed accoridingly a bust.

And I could name about 5-7 others schools who have produced as many STARS in the NFL as Miami

I'm holding you up to that quote. Please name them.

Time will tell, but i would have to disagree with you on that. With you O-line, Brown will get hurt sooner than later.

He's better than Vilma. He's bigger, stronger, and just as fast as Vilma is.

:lol:It took me a second but then I realized that you were only kidding because Crowder is not even close to being better then Vilma.

Vilma>>Crowder

a guys is bigger, stronger, and faster so that means hes better? id take Vilma over crowder any day of the week. and i would in 5 years to.

too bad there arent any unbiased views on this. its either a canes homer on vilmas side or a gator homer on channings side.

Yatil Green....ok.. he's a bust (injury ruined his career)
Winslow-let's wait for him to actually play a season before we call him a bust.
Santana Moss-Are you serious? He had 1,000 yard season last year, using your logic, Chris Chambers should be playing in the CFL.
Jeremy Shockey-Again..are you serious? He's overhyped and overrated but to call him a bust is flushing any credibility you HAD down the toilet.
Ken Dorsey-considering that he was a 7th round pick and is still playing in the league then he'll take being called a "bust" as a compliment.

It's ok to "hate" on UM but don't be delusional about it. They are the school that is producing the most 1st rd draft picks in the NFL. Their players are more NFL ready because of their conditioning, their schemes, their overall talent, and usually the guy that is waiting in the wings is younger, bigger, stronger, and faster so everybody steps up their game. I remember reading a quote from Michael Irvin that he used to encourage guys to play through injuries because if they missed a game, the guy behind them would take their starting job from them.

Like it or not... not many college programs have that kind of caliber of talent AND that kind of depth. So don't hate...appreciate!
