Locker room culture is very different. I talked about things inside a locker room that I'd never talk about with my regular friends. These are the people that you share your highest highs and some of your lowest lows, they become a brotherhood and it's just different. I'm not speaking from a high school locker room either, I'm talking about my time at the Univ. of Alabama.

I just hope that getting rid of Incognito was because it was the right thing to do for the team, and not because of trying to salvage our media rep.
The last thing we need to do is get rid of a leadership-role player, especially on one of the weakest units of the team.

I wonder if players are maybe siding with Incognito because the higher-ups on the team ladder are, and they don't want to look weak in supporting a guy that walked out on the team.

The people who label Incognito's comments as "racist" likely have never spent any time in a sports locker room...let alone a professional sports locker room. These people would have a massive heart attack and die if they spent anytime in a locker room and saw and heard some of the things that are done and said. The locker room is truly a different world. My guess is that the overwhelming majority of Dolphin players love Incognito because he is a flat out crazy mfer who they love going to battle with and would have their backs both on the field and elsewhere. Every team probably has one of these guys...Incognito's just probably the craziest out there.

I am so tired of the "locker room excuse". Locker room culture this and that. Give me a break.

This isn't prison. These aren't inmates locked up in the asylum. These are grown men with a high paying job and are expected to act a certain way on and off the field. The locker room culture excuse is just a bunch of trumped up BS that players created to give them a way out for their horrible behavior.

What Incognito said and did crossed that line, regardless of the environment (no matter how BS that excuse is).

Yea I fought for respect, but I also used intelligence to graduate valedictorian. I'm sorry if I, as a fellow victim of abuse, don't feel at all sorry for Jonathan Martin.

Don't lynch people based o the media. Don't convict others. Use your intelligence to decipher just where information is coming from, targeted to, and who it is intended to benefit and maim. The media are masters of getting people worked up into a frenzy, no matter how valid the information is.

That's all I'm saying. I have read many posts similar to those crucifying Incongito based on hearsay allegations. Yes they may be proven to be true. But no actual evidence has been seen. No voice mail has been heard by anyone in the media.

What a load of crap to blame the media for making a big deal out of blatant racism. Are you all suggesting it should be downplayed? Also can't believe Kanell pulled an "I've seen a few white guys use the N-word as a term of endearment, so now it's okay for all white guys to use it in any context". Some of the delusional fan reactions I've seen to this Martin episode are Penn State Riot-esque. Here's the transcript of the voicemail just so you guys know what you're defending.

"Hey, wassup, you half n----- piece of s---. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. [I want to] s--- in your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your real mother across the face [laughter]. F--- you, you're still a rookie. I'll kill you."

People in that locker room don't believe Richie to be a racist. Its only people OUTSIDE of the locker room who are offended, along with the ***** who took his ball and went home. More and more players are coming out and defending Incognito. Its a slow drip that is ruining the story line the media, and its parrot crowd (you and many others) are using to indict Richie in the court of public opinion.

When Martin gets his pay day, that he wouldn't have gotten in the NFL PLAYING. It will bare for all to witness, the utter **** storm this guy started because he couldn't cut it on the NFL football field much less a NFL locker room. Sadly, many like you will defend your 'cause', but that 'cause' doesn't fly in the NFL. And it shouldn't.

I appreciate the argument.. I really do.. but my problem is where has all of this so called 'editorializing' of the facts come from??? The media... Like us... is working off of stated reality... Jonathan Martin left a high paying high profile job... BECAUSE he took offense to comments that were made and directed towards him... The Dolphins SUSPENDED Incognito because THERE WAS EVIDENCE of this transgression. Fact: Martin walked. Fact: Incognito is guilty.

So 'Locker room culture'??? DOES NOT MATTER... The fact that YOU or ME or ANYONE else does not find this behavior offensive in the context of 'Football'???? DOES NOT MATTER... The context??? My friend, Martin has ALREADY been given the latitude. He ensured that when his people leaked the information in his favor. And I'll repeat. Noone has heard the voicemail. No one has read the actual text exchange. I want to read Martins responses to the series of texts. Can't tell me he saved only the offending ones. There was a transcript. A TRANSCRIPT. Let's be honest, they can be easily doctored.

Information is slowly coming out now. I would bet that by the end of the week and entirely different picture will emerge.

Martins people are looking at a possible 15+ million pay day. While Martin was contemplating quitting football. His high paying job as a 2nd round pick, wouldn't have netted him that pay day for another few years. Motive on both sides should be examined. And Martins motive is slowly being told, by his PR machine.

How do you know 'his people' leaked the information??? Oh, because it's the most 'plausible'??? It's not been proved but.. Ok... You see? That little 'trick' works for both sides... It's the SAME THING.

AND I REPEAT... The DOLPHINS AND THE NFL have heard those tapes and they decided there was evidence enough to suspend him INDEFINITELY. I don't need to have heard them to deduce that there was evidence to support Martin's claim... Guilt has already been established..

Listen man I really appreciate that as former victim you are being vocal in support of 'waiting' for all the facts... Seriously... I do... But the truth is... You CAN'T get on a soapbox and scream for a 'fair trial' for only ONE of the parties involved because it supports your agenda.

You have your opinions and you are more than welcome to air them here or anywhere else you want... Absolutely... Just don't scream for 'wait for the facts' when it is pretty clear that you have already made your own mind up long before all the facts have been made public.

That says.. that Hyde like everyone else thinks it's the MOST PLAUSIBLE... Doesn't say anything more. THE FACT is... Martin had to show evidence to support his claim in order to BEGIN any proceedings... THAT IS THE FACT... He HAD TO. And that info could have been intercepted or 'leaked' in any number of different ways... By any number of different people... And just because it is not in the Dolphins or NFL's 'benefit' does not mean it isn't possible... And yet here we are arguing things like 'Martin's agenda' which is nothing but spin or opinion based on SPECULATION...

Amigo we can go round and round on this... You want to crucify Martin??? Go for it... And we can go 'opinion to opinion'... but if you are gonna ask for 'equal rights' than you have to do it for both parties... That's what it means.
