It's a simple fact that Chad Johnson has worked himSELF into a low margin for error situation, both by being a distraction off the field and by not playing well on the field. I like Chad. Always have. Probably always will. I've tracked him over the years, followed him on twitter, etc. I've defended him to people that talk bad about him. But I'm not going to sit here and pretend he doesn't cross the line (frequently) and put himself in situations where he's now got zero or very little margin for error. He does that to himself.
As for whether this is actually true or not...I mean you have to be pretty effing crazy to give yourself a 3 inch laceration on your forehead so that you can claim a guy hit you. And even Chad admits forehead-to-forehead contact happened. It's an unfortunate situation, and I'm not ready to throw the guy in jail yet (although that is a DISTINCT possibility that most people are totally unrecognizing when they criticize Miami for jumping ship)...but she's got wounds and if I've heard right, has given SWORN and taped evidence against him. She sunk his battleship.
And I do think another thing people conveniently overlook is that when Chad was in Junior College he was put on probation for domestic violence against a female. People act like that never happened just because it wasn't while he was in the NFL. He was a grown man, mature enough to know better, and he got into a situation where his violence against his girlfriend got him convicted and on probation.
Maybe he was innocent back then, too. I don't know. I don't really care. I just know the Dolphins don't need to be party to finding out.
