Darlington: Manning underwhelmed with Dolphins front office

lol at WoManning making a horrible excuse not to play for the Dolphins. He knows there's too much competition in the competitive AFC East and is scared of getting beat down by his rival Brady twice. Matt Flynn on the other hand is a playmaker and wants to play for the Dolphins and is not scared of competition.

I liked the marshall and dansby acquisitions... I think dansby should be playing outside, and he'd live up to his contract a bit better.

can't complain much about marshall.. he has some drops, but hes towards the top of the league in targets... plus he's been breaking team records from a receiving standpoint.

reggie bush trade was a ****ing genious move. or at least so far. a scrub and swap sixth round picks... that was some fine work.

If Jeff and Michael Lombardi said that than I now believe that we have no shot. Those two usually are spot on and are not known for spewing garbage. This is not looking good...

Lombardi said last week he thought Manning would end up in Houston, so he's not always spot on.

Makes no sense then why wouldn't Manning just say no to meeting if our front office is underwhelming. Peyton is to calculated would not even meet with us in that case. Way too many different opinions.

Probably because he doesn't want his windows at his condo smashed in.

jeff darlington, mike lombardi and whoever else spewing out crap right now dont know **** either..trust me darlington doesnt know **** and lombardi doesnt know **** either.

Good thing players are more concerned about their commodities than that of the offices. Hence why Philbin and friends are leading the interview. Peyton doesn't need the money, it's about football. The Dolphins are smart in keeping it low key and REAL.. FOOTBALL!

Peyton sees through the full court press organizations make to lure him.

He just wants a place to feel comfortable and continue his success.

don't believe all the tweets. The fact he is making more visits is smart on his part. He doesn't have a time table per se like the teams.

He may sign with us or not, but getting the interview is a good sign.

And don't forget about getting Matt Moore...a backup better than several starters (including our own).

Hey, remember when people last pre-season were shouting that Moore was better than Chad Henne and deserved to start over him? Could the same be true about Matt Moore this year of other QBs, namely MATT FLYNN, being better than him? We were at this rodeo last year, and it looks like we're coming back this year. Oh boy, the flame wars have commenced again.

Ok I just saw the Darlington piece and it is very obvious that Peyton thinks we have most talent, but he doesn't like our front office! He wants to meet with only Philbin in a footballcentric environment. Seems pretty clear "IF" Peyton likes Philbon and his philosophy, then maybe he will over look Ireland. That is my take!
I agree. if the front office was a deal-breaker, he would have simply said "no thanks" like he did to the Redskins, Seahawks, Chiefs, Titans and Jets

Front office = ROSS not Ireland, would be my impression.

Ross has already made it excrutiatingly clear to anyone paying attention that he is the one in charge not Ireland. The constant leaks to the press throughout the coaching search could only have been with Ross's consent. Ireland comes from the Parcell's school, where NOTHING gets leaked unless it is for a reason.

The fact that Ross broadcasted that he wanted to give Manning the full court press has to have something to do with this. Ireland would NEVER say anything like that about something he plans on doing. He is a tight lipped guy.

i agree with Darlington, the Owner dosent know what he is doing, the GM Irland has Ross convenced he is the best GM in the Leage, in fact Irland is so bad it will be easy for Ross to fire him and bring in the 2 Best GM in the leage Carl The Beast Peterson, the best thing that can happen is he sells and we get out of this mess.
Unless or head coach can stroke Manning, i fear we lose, he will sign with Denver

I hate using those examples whether this is accurate or not:

Ryan Clark: mediocre Safety whose flaws were spotlighted when Troy P went down, tweeted that he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh, thought he;'d get Antrel Rolle elite money, was told by Ireland unceremoniously that he'd be paid fairly in line with what he was worth, and got his bowels in an uproar over being made to face reality.

Harbaugh: wife and kids had no intention of moving. Ross was played as leverage and as a courtesy interview by someone who had endowed a wing at their mutual alma matter

Fisher: Said he'd hire Ireland himself (which might actually be an indictment, LOL), but was a mediocre HC with 6 out of 17 winning seasons who demanded the kind of control his accomplishments didn't justify. Ross was used by Fisher, Demoff and his son to wrest control and more benjamins out of an equally naive Kroenke. "Losing out" on Fisher was justified by his first 2 hirings of an awful OC and a DC whom he never bothered to vet or wonder why NO who had won a SB with him was so anxious to offload.

Crowder? He's an azzclown that no other team in need bothered to sign. Sure he got deep sixed and who likes a boss who reveals you for what you are?

Again, Ireland may or may not be deserving of criticism, but using the above examples is strictly bull****!
Spot.on Vaark.

As far as I am concerned. Ireland is doing a hell of alot better than the guys in Dallas, Washington, and Arizona.

All this Ireland crap is/used by the media and is the reason he has a reputation. Reputations are basically people talking. If ya'll dont get the media by now, after all this, then you never will. You will agree with what you wish to agree with.

Darlington comes from here and he is assuming stuff based on what he is hearing from others and what he already knows. So what? Ireland and Ross brought Philbin here. Thats quite a good move in the right direction. If we lose Manning. Oh well, let him go somewhere else and supposedly lie to the media that he will make his decision by Tuesday and then say he will go for other teams.....okie dokie....Ireland's problem is just gossip. You blame Ireland for telling Crowder to beat it? cmon now people.

take a look around the NFL.

once again, he needs to move out of miami. Miami itself is a problem. I am not sure why Manning has a place there other than good golfing.
