Dolphins players give Ryan Tannehill vote of confidence
“There is no doubt in my mind that Ryan [Tannehill] is our guy," Dolphins tight end Charles Clay told the Sun-Sentinel. "It is still early."
This isn’t time for anyone to panic," Clay said. "It is still a lot of football left. A lot of things we can do to help him out. He’s our guy. When we turn this thing around he’ll be the guy to do it.”

Media, schmedia. It's all about the clicks and misconstruing what is said however they can to gain more attention than they actually need. That said, Darlington is about as straight forward as they get.
IMO, there was very little question here in who was going to start vs the Raiders. I honestly don't care how we get it done as a team I just want to win in London, go into our bye on a positive note and build on it.
Ah…I get it…Cole made the entire story up. Gotcha.
Example #1,267 of how something could not possibly be Joe's fault. Give me a break..
Philbin is on the fringe of losing this team and its fan base.
Better have a epic showing against the Raiders or things will turn sour quick.
YES!!!!! Get a win. Get to 2-2 and re-set things during the bye. That is the only strategy. Find a way to win this weekend and things can settle down. Hook or by crook…find a way to win.
Philbin lost me for good at the end of the first half in Buffalo. Then he nearly gave me an aneurysm with his clock management at the end of the first half Sunday. Then, he forever reserved a spot on my list of most hated coaches that have coached my favorite teams by responding to a question asking just WHY exactly he waited to call a time-out until there were two seconds left in the half as follows: 'I thought we had five or six seconds, but someone told me we didn't.' This quote demonstrates in one sentence why Joe Philbin should not be an NFL head coach.
I'll tell you right now what the strategy should be, regardless of who's under center:
First down: run the ball. Second down: run the ball. Third down: run the ball.
The Raiders pass defense impressed me against the Patriots, but their run defense is not so good. If we go out there and throw the ball 50 times, they WILL pick some off. They were getting great jumps on the ball vs New England and just couldn't hold on to the football.
That! when half your pass attempts are either incompletions or sacks for losses, maybe you should run the ball more, just maybe! 1) Our runs are at about 5 yards a pop and most definitely gain at least some yardage on more than 50% of the plays. 2) doing this will eventually lead the opposing Ds to at least consider we might be running on the next play. wich could open up the passing game. who knows? its been considered before by many people youknow..,. run to set up the pass.... 3) You dont have to pass.... or catch a damn ball to execute a running play, which kind of fits with this team issues at the moment...I'll tell you right now what the strategy should be, regardless of who's under center:

Clearly there was a miscommunication with the refs and he tried to call the timeout but refs missed it which is why he was still arguing about it when they came back from commercial. I'm kind glad it played out the way it did though because its highly likely we would have gotten zero points otherwise.
Instead of bitching about 2 or 3 seconds what about Daniel Thomas choosing to stay in bounds for an extra yard? Terrible awareness from a dumb player. And I appreciate the effort from Tannehill but a smart QB throws it away there, there is a reason you don't call a running play in that situation. Those two plays by the players cost us the opportunity at more points, not the coach. One is dumb, but you kind of expect him to be which might be why no other team even worked him out. And the other is supposed to be our very intelligent QB.
We most certainly need more balance and I for one am very surprised we haven't achieved that. I was convinced we would be more equal to the Eagles of last year (500 run/506 pass). The NFL isn't pass happy, it's pass friendly. We need at least a 40/60 (run/pass) split and I would like to see an even more balanced attack than that.
