David Boston?

I don't really buy any argument that Boston is much better. Robinson did what he did with a team struggling at QB and with some sign of life at WR while Boston had one QB and no competition for stats. I don't really think the presence of a second season over 1000 yards says much unless you're implying that Robinson was "lucky" to have a 1400 yard season under those circumstances.

I don't think it was lucky, he is or was a good receiver, but I kind of think it was something like M.Muhammad and his 1,450 yards, I really don't think Muhammad will match those numbers again. He has always been solid in the past, and he has been playing for many years, but he never had number like 1,300, 1400, until last season he just exploded onto the spotlight, I see it more as an aberration, especially considering his age, and how long he's been in the league for, he was in the NFL since '96 I believe. I kind of see M.Robinson's 1,400 yard season as an aberration, too

I see your reasoning with Muhammad due to age, but Robinson did what he did in year two of his career. He followed that season up with a pretty good season even though the injuries began for him as early as camp that year.

Even with Muhammad, It is important to note that he didn't get to 1400 before because of his penchant for nagging minor injuries. He and Fred Taylor had that market cornered -- I can't tell you how many times I remember Muhammad dominating the first quarter or first half of a game only to leave early with a hamstring issue. It's not a coincidence that the stretch when he played in 47 of 48 games was the best stretch of his career before this year. That is actually a common thread between the three receivers except that Boston and Booker have had much worse injuries. Looking at the stats, I do see how somebody could make an argument that Boston or Robinson could find the right situation and make it back over 1000. We'll see if that ever pans out.

I understand what Boston had back when he popped off those stats. If he were that receiver, he would have dominated in San Diego and would have had teams beating down his agent's door when he was available.
While he didn`t dominate in SD like he did in Arizona, Boston had a good year in SD. I think something like 880 yds. in 14 games, which should have put him over 1,000 if he`d played all 16. Bostons suspension and/or reputation as being tough to handle is what threw most teams off on acquiring his services, not his onfield production.

As long as he can give us something, ANYthing, it'll be more of a success then last year. That's the whole point, improving year after year. Hopefully 4-12 is improved on the most :D

First off, I like all Chambers, Boston and Booker and i don't care who starts or gets the stats as long as we win.

This is definitely the put up or shut up year with Chambers. If our line holds up and either of our QB's can at least play above Fiedler level, he should have his breakout year. We've been hearing about it for 4 years and now the stage is set. Obviously my hopes and dreams for him will be crushed if both our QB's end up sucking.

Boston, when healthy, has proven that he can put up the numbers people say Chambers is capable of. If he can achieve 60% of what he did in Arizona, his stats will still be equal to Chambers' best (FACT 1600 vs 960). Plus, all we paid for him was a 6th rounder. I can't understand why anyone would wish one of our own to fail.

As for Booker, I don't know how well he fits into this offense, but mostly because I haven't seen much of it. I look at him as a guy that runs good short patterns and uses his size and acceleration to make YAC. I'm guessing (and I said guessing, don't bite my head off) that this translates to a #3 WR in Miami, whereas he could be a #1 WR in a pure west coast system.

I was never a Thompson fan until he caught that game winner against the Pats. I'm afraid as a 6 year pro, he's peaked. He doesn't have the hype or the physical attributes to believe otherwise, so I'm think he'll never be more than a #4 WR with the guys we have here.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents (and a little more).

Actually if I remember correctly it was the trainers and staff who told him to take a rest. But Boston refused cause he wanted to contribute and progress.

Some of you will blame wanny for anything lol!!!
I heard Jay Leno was taking a sky diving class. Well when he was almost to the ground, his parachute exploded and some metal off his backpack flew off to Miami and hit Boston in the knee. Now that metal was no normal metal. When it hit the grass after bouncing off of Boston's knee it puffed into blue smoke and dissapeared.

Perhaps the banned supplement that Boston was caught using has something to do with his past success, and the injuries he has encountered the last few seasons. David Boston was great in Arizona, but if he can't beat out Derrius Thompson, one of the more scrutinized Dolphin the past few seasons, than how much can we expect from him? Anything he does is a plus for the team, but I can't expect too much from the 4th WR on the team.

Well, I guess the blame also goes to the training staff. The week we scrimmaged the Texans, Boston was complaining about pains in his knee. I don't remember if he was told to keep playing or the training staff said it was nothing serious, but shortly after Boston had to jump in the air to catch a pass, and when he came down he had a torn ACL. All this(along with some other things) lead to Boston filing a lawsuit against our medical staff.

Not an ACL -- a Patellar tendon rupture, much harder to recover from might i say..

And Boston was also 260 pounds at the time also, no way in football shape, yet he still had 880 yards, Boston's 228 now, that's quite a difference, especially when talking about speed.
