Davone Bess is a Playmaker

Wow this thread was epic, and pointless.

The OP has his own definition of "playmaker" and a stat that validates that definition. No other stats are going to be able to refute that definition and the guy makes a thread about it. Ok, good for him. Who cares? It's trolling at it's finest. It all boils down to the definition of "playmaker" and the OP has his own definition that just happens to not fit any of our definitions or even be based in any kind of football reality. The definition of playmaker is the real argument of this thread but the OP just wants to argue whether or not Bess is a "playmaker" by his narrow definition of one. This thread was going to be like beating your head against the wall from the very first post.

And tyler fell for it hook, line, and sinker! Hey tyler, do you have an imaginary girlfriend that lives on the other side of the country too?

Precisely. Should've been no more than one post at the most.

WV, a bum? That's a little rough. I don't believe you mean that. If you do watch the last quarter of our win over the Seahawks and see whos will to win stands out. See how Tannehill to Bess in the end wins the game for us. Bess is a top 10 slot reciever imo.

Name 10.

Who's that No. 7 with a rocket arm, quick release and quick drop back? I wonder how much we could get for him?

Oops.. that's right, these are highlights from 2010 - 2011.

Bess was an important piece in Sparano's offense. He's not utilized that way in Philbin's offense. This is not a knock on Bess. This merely trying to get value for a player who is not utilized to his full potential by the current coaching staff.

It's not personal.

so playmakers now average 10.7 yds per rec and and 2 TDs a year, good to know.

Hopefully, in a couple of hours he will be a "play maker" for the Cleveland Browns.

Then why make a thread about it? It seems a bit self-serving and arrogant. Trolling even.
Feel free to choose from the many others in which the opinion of one person is expressed, and/or complain to the moderators if you feel this one violates the ToS. Those are your options as I see them.

If your definition of "playmaker" revolves around those variables, then yes, Davone Bess is not a playmaker according to you.

playmakers make big plays, if they don't have a high TD total they need to have a high yds per rec- usually playmakers have both. A playmaker is the type of player than can turn a small gain into a big one, a player that is basically a threat to score any time the ball is in his hands. That's not Bess.

So they can be the team with the Stud LT and the guys who make short gains while being deemed "playmakers" and average 6 wins a season. Nice.

In the meantime, we can start focusing on getting actual playmakers and not so much on cornfed in order to start scoring 30 points a game and win 12 or so games per season. Profit.
