Dead Serious: What options do we have next year (At QB)?

Yeah, or what?

Gimme Derek Carr. Dude plays entire seasons and he can be had. Grier is incapable of getting a decent backup

1st tier: Rodgers or Brady.
2nd tier: Carr
3rd tier: Jimmy G (can't stay healthy)
100% agreed. I might even bump Carr up a tier (he’s younger and will definitely be available)

On this team, he easily gets 4K yards and 30 TDS and most importantly, will play an entire season

And I’d add Jordan love to tier 3. GB might have some drama this off-season

Dude wants Derek Carr lmaoo

Same guy that had Devante Adams, Derek Waller, Josh Jacobs AND still got his ass benched.

Tua is a better QB. Plain and simple.

I won’t argue that Tua isn’t better but Tua isn’t available for half the season (whether he’s injured, or goes through mental meltdowns)

Carr plays entire seasons year after year and puts up solid numbers, despite playing with really bad defenses

Do I love Carr? No. But what other options do we have?

But but this system is QB friendly we can plug and play anyone, Tua sucks.

goes to show how good Tua is. This team is HOT garbage with out him.

Jimmy G is not gonna play like a SF QB in Miami, he's gonna play like teddy and Brissette.

Carr had just as talented offense (if not more) and produced a lot less than Tua.

Tua is the QB we just need a capable back up.

You give Tua another off-season to improve on his areas of weakness and run it back with him at the helm. The guy still posted a 25/8 statline and a 8-4 record in this 3rd year.

There really isn't another viable option. Derek Carr is literally a downgrade.

How does Tua improve on not hitting his head and getting concussions? Or not injuring himself like he has in previous seasons with his hip, ankles, thumb, ect...

I don't think these are things Tua can work on in the offseason. He can't stay healthy a full season going back to college.

You can’t improve durability. Tua has been injured since college. There are just those guys that get hurt, and some that don’t.
Unfortunately Tua is one of the most injury-prone nfl players while guys like Carr never miss time.

Carr has a stronger arm, has more ā€œescape-abilityā€ (spelling??) but less accurate.

Going from Tua to Carr IMO is neutral. Pros and cons to each.

But Carr, with that arm to waddle/hill could be amazing. Carr likes to take chances downfield

I wait til 2024 draft, try and trade away howard and jones and package picks to have 2 firsts in 2024 to try and get caleb williams
