So let me get this straight. You come on a Dolphins forum, and literally beg us to stop talking up our players? Get the f*ck outta here bro. Revis cant do it by himself and Cro is A.S.S
Compelling argument.

Davis is getting close, if you want to keep the green colored glasses on, and rip off the rear view mirrors so as not to see Davis coming on fast, then that is up to you, but he is close to as good covering #1 Receivers as your man, is a more vicious hitter then Revis, and is as good or better in run support.
Revis is the game-changer... so despite the fact that Vontae is superior to Cromartie, still gotta give the jest the edge since Cromartie may be over rated but he's not a Jason Allen either. If Smith can intercept this season, he'll be at least on par with Cromartie. Before junk comes back in to defend the deadbeat dad's honor, i'll pose the question: "How many teams would trade Cromartie for Vontae?" (hint: rhymes with "wall" ).
So after watching 3 weeks of preseason (I know, I know its just preseason)... Davis might be onto something with his remarks about he and Smith being the best CB tandem in the league
Revis is a beast no doubt but Manning picked on Cromartie all night (the 3 points doesnt show the damage that was done to Cromartie). Cromartie is an athletic freak but he gets beat a lot.
Nnamdi is a beast too but Samuels got beat really bad couple weeks ago. Plus hes real soft and cant play bump and run or tackle much
Sean Smith is soft when it comes to tackling but when it comes to covering short and intermediate throws, hes money. Its the speed guys that go deep on him that has hurt his stock but so far so good and Vontae has amazing ball hawking skills so I'll live with him giving up the short routes cause his deep ball skills as a defender are sweet (he had a nice one against TB against a really good receiver in Mike Williams that was called back)
Packers have a nice duo too but gotta think Woodson is gonna start breaking down.
I guess I would take Miamis tandem over anyone else for the reasons that A)they have not hit their ceiling, not even close. They will continue to get better. B)They balance each other really well and I think Smith is very underrated in the league and even to the hardcore fans on this site (as a cover corner, not as a open field tackler, he sucks at that but hey cornerbacks get paid the big bucks to defend the pass)
Compelling argument.
As was your quoted "argument".
See I can play the game too. It boils down to the fact that you come on here and dont like what your seeing. There is a very simple solution to that matter, and I'm sure even a yets fan can figure it out.
Davis is not close to Revis, not even in the discussion.
welcome to our board Alex, I hope you stay and contribute to the many debates that are going on.
Lmao same ol' junc. Got caught "not contributing to debates" and hides behind 'date added' and his outrageous post count on a rival message board.
At this point in time, we have a better shot a being the next best tandem than your guys do. Unless Kyle Wilson really really really steps his game up. You have a liability in coverage, both pass and run, and the only "debate" you offer is the fact that he was an "athletic phenomenon" coming into the league. He had a single good season and people hailed him the 2nd coming of Prime, and looking at his past performances, I am happy he's a Jet.
Oh, it's happening, just not right now, but it is happening.
He still does not have the insticts of Revis, and range of Revis, but Revis has already hit his ceiling, Davis right now is a top corner, and his ceiling is still pretty high.....don't be surprised (Which you will), if by the end of this season, beginning of the next, mentioning Revis and Davis in the same sentence becomes a reality.
You act like Revis and Cro are old, this tandem will be a top tandem for years to come. revis is just entering his prime.
That still doesnt help the other one. We will see if he grows anymore, but even if he does he will just get the Champ Bailey treatment. We will continue to pick on Cro, who peaked his 1st year in the league. Our tandem has loads more upside than yours, plain and simple, and the fact that your guys are not the best tandem in the league at this point makes me think that no matter how much Revis grows, your weak link will always keep you off that pedistal. Which is why you guys tried to 86 said weak link and go after another proven stud, they realized that Cro is not going to get any better and the only shot is to go after a known commodity.
revis and you or I would be a great tandem.
You picked on Cro when he was forced to cover Marshall, w/ revis in there he's not covering Marshall.
lol, stop.
Gotta love this homerfest board. How has Revis allready hit his ceiling? He is in the prime of his career.
He is only a few years older than Vontae.
Vontae is really good, but Revis has a legit chance to be regarded as a top 5 cb of all time.
Last year was Vontae's 3rd year correct? Good job no doubt, but Revis's third year (09) is considered one of the best years for a cover corner of all time
Seriously people, put the dolphins shades down and try to be objective for a minute.
Edit: Vontae has only been in the league 2 years, my mistake. Although Revis did make the Pro-Bowl his 2nd year![]()
This is where our disconnect happens. My definition of the best tandem, is one where both guys are exceptional at what they do and need little to no help. While Revis may be top 2 in the league, when talking about tandems, your only as strong as your weak link. And I believe your weak link has spotty coverage skills at best, and your best, while superb in pass defense, is questionable in run coverage.
All things equal, I see our tandem having a higher ceiling and better chance of taking the top spot in coming years than yours does.
