Does any other team in the NFL run a wide 9 defense? I'm not a fan of using it unless we have a lead and we know the other team has to pass. Why can't we go back to a traditional 4-3 defense and switch to a wide 9 when we do have a comfy lead? It just seems inviting for teams to run on you up the gut in wide 9 because of the gaps on the dline.
