Denver fans comments on mccoy from broncos forum. Dolphins= Doomed

Would love to see the same people comment after the Steelers win. Point being, a big loss stings and fans always don't remember the good stuff

Sounds like he'll fit in perfectly here. He coached on an 8-8 team. Our OC came from a 5-11 team and our DC (probably) will come from a 6-10 team. Building a champion fo' sho.

Lmao well said. Can't remember the last winning candidate outside of Saban

I take it back, after reading these comments from denver fans, this guy isnt sparano, he is worse!!!!!! i'll be watching the canes and all golden this year, best of luck to u dolphins fans.
Ross really screwed up this time lol. Comments are in black, straight from denver forums, i can provide a link too if need be.

1-I love Mccoy but I would also love to see someone come in with some new stuff and call a play besides the read option 20 times a game.

2-If McCoy is a young Don Shula maybe I'm the next Vince Lombardi

3-I don't blame them. There is just no reasonable basis to conclude McCoy has got it. Unproven.

4-He gets a bad rep because he calls the same freaking plays. No slants, no RB screens, no end-arounds, no boot-legs, or whatever, that's why. If he mixed it up a little bit, some on here wouldn't hate him.

5-McCoy isn't a bad coach...he is just a terrible play caller and shows no signs of making adjustments. His game is VERY predictable and seemed to put his own team behind the 8 ball. However if he is the HC in Miami chances are the OC might be calling the plays!

6-And if anything McCoy is a young John Fox, certainly not a young Don Shula.

7-Is he there yet? Bags packed? Does he need someone to drop him off at the airport? Take him...PLEASE!

8-Ok I'm really sick and tired of hearing McCoy completely redid the offense midway through the season. Was he a part of it...yes. Did he do it all alone...NO!!!! I guarantee it was a team effort of a BUNCH of coaches and players.

9-McCoy does deserve some credit for it, but not all of it like so many want to give him. The only reason he is spotlighted more is because he was the OC and called the plays, which by the way were VERY predictable and way way way too conservative.

This is the big "splash" ????? that stadium is going to empty next season ,i mean really, who is going to spend there money on this team anymore when u can just sit on your couch and save money by watching they crushed on tv???
Again, his QB was Tim Tebow. I don't know what type of exotic play calling the Denver fans were expecting.

1. There is only so much you can do with a quarterback with extremely poor fundamentals, field awareness and a mindset that still lives in the UF glory days.

2. You take these comments to heart when it comes from a group of people that have had no interaction with the day to day operations of that franchise. The fly on the wall knows more about that staff than the fans do.

3. You all also need to relax and quit thinking that every piece of news means we're doomed. How about you see how it plays out? Maybe wait until you see the staff he helps hire and the personnel decisions going forward?

4. You say we will get crushed. Why, because we got rid of our head coach that NOBODY HERE WANTED? We went 6-3 to end the season with a quarterback that "was a stupid signing," a running back that "can't play on every down," a receiver that "we should trade," (who mind you, had ANOTHER 1,000 yard season), a "waste of a second-round pick at running back because we should have picked up Ryan Mallett because he's the next big thing" AKA another quarterback that would have failed and a first round pick at center who "was the stupidest goddam signing on the face of this earth" even though he was one of the most consistent players on the team AND most consistent centers in the NFL.

5. Proceed to take your head out of your *** and take a breath.

Wow! With all those good decisions we must have made the playoffs! Right? Right? No?

Wow, very well said. I for one will give McCoy a chance as I don't have any other choice. I'm not in love with bringing him aboard, but you simply never know.

More homerism from those who think:

1. This was a playoff team in 2011. The universal view of the national media was all wrong because Miami is a super secret great team.
2. Tony Sparano is an outstanding coach. He works hard so that means he is smart.
3. Chad Henne is a great quarterback prospect. You guys who don't like him are just meanies.
4. Miami has had a great run under the Ireland regime. Lots of great high picks like Pat Turner, Pat White, Philip Merling, and Chad Henne.
5. Miami did a great job drafting John Jerry and passing on Jimmy Graham from their own backyard. That cornfed lineman is so critical.
6. You meanies don't understand. Marc Colombo, like all ex Cowboys, was going to do great in 2011.
7. Miami has done a great job of solving the offensive line position over the past 4 years. Trading up for Shawn Murphy was brilliant. Donald Thomas was a great pick. Trading a starter like Samson Satele for nothing was brilliant. Signing veteran free agents like Smiley, Grove, and Berger paid major dividends.
8. Nothing is Jeff Ireland's fault. He was not one of the major identifiers of talent the past 4 years. Parcells did all the legwork.
9. Miami has done a great job having 4 years to get a franchise quarterback in here and not getting it done.
10. Miami knows and understands the importance of playmakers on defense. They've done a great job getting top notch safeties in here. Clemons and Jones were excellent safeties such that Miami could afford to stand pat.
11. Miami's phenomenal record the past 4 years has allowed Miami to have the best home field advantage in football. Pro Player is full of Miami fans every week, all stirred up in a frenzy like this was 20 years ago.
12. Like Sparano, the new coach will for sure be brilliant, because, well, any human being wearing a Dolphin logo is necessarily the best.

Bottom line, everything Miami does is defensible to the simpleton homers and the constant defense of everything Miami does removes any shred of credibility from them.

The only thing doomed is Denver when they start Tebow.
The Dolphins front office based McCoy as a good option because of Tebow. I would say the Dolphins are more doomed.

We're about to hire a guy that put up less points on the Patriots defense than we did.

And you know whats funny? There are Bronco fans out there that feel losing McCoy will hurt Tebow's development. It all goes both ways

Just like there are people here who think Sparano shouldn't have been fired. McCoy hasn't developed a single QB in his career. Jake Delhomme, Matt Moore, Jimmy Clausen, Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow...that's an impressive list of nobodies. And before anybody posts that Orton had his best year under McCoy, if it was really him and not Josh McDaniels why couldn't he sustain it the following year when they started off 1-4 and put Orton on the bench?

I hate being a naysayer but McCoy is no better or different then Sporano. Mark my words, we're going to be in the same position in 3 or 4 years, after yet another craptastic run at nothing.

I understand the blind optimism because we're all hardcore Dolphin fans, but what has the guy really done that allows him to be included in a head coaching position? His team went 8-8 people, you call that success? Thats not going to fly in the AFC East!!! So, I think in all fairness, its the McCoy followers that need to get their heads out of their ***.
