What have you seen? They have yet to play one game. It's all hype right now, nobody has seen anything yet to judge him good or overhyped.
it's a general attitude that we haven't had since Shula honestly.
Shula ran the team with respect and I feel Saban does the same thing.
JJ ran it with fear and that doesn't work on anyone who's been in the league more than 3-4 years. Saban is just not that way.
Wanny was the complete opposite of JJ. He ran the team with kindness...and yes, respect but his general love of the players overrode the respect factor and the players had lost that for him. They still like the guy a lot but if your players don't respect what you are trying to coach and teach them then that coach WILL fail. Wanny is proof of that. I feel Saban will always will keep that as he wont let the team itself down by allowing his personal feelings to get in the way.
Anyway, that's what I've seen so far.
Oh, he's also been able to bring in a much larger group of FA then anyone expected because we simply didn't have the cap space....and they seem like FAs that can have an impact on the team.
These are positves. So like I said, I'm please with what he's done so far (general team attitude) but I am not going to annoint him the next Lombardi until I see what happens during the regular season (actually, to compare him to Lombardi he'll have to be very very good for a # of years.)
BTW, hopefully that answers your question. At least that's what I've seen (that was your question right?)
