Did we give up to soon on Chad Henne...?

Jaguars have won 3 out of there 4 last games with Chad Henne, which begs this question, should we have been more patient with Henne...?

Can Ryan Tannehill win 3 out of our next 4 to get to the next level...?

If we finish 9-7, I feel that will be progress. (meant to say if we at least win 3 to finish out 9-7 or 10-6)

Jesus. I've never seen you make a post that wasn't stupid.

Yes and the ones that have been his fault hurt, but lets not lose sight of the fact that he has been sacked 45 times. He is forced to make throws. Plus a few picks have been passes deflected by players who penetrate our Swiss cheese line. The lack of ability to open the field with a running game is a killer too.

I agree and Pittsburgh has suffered a similar fate, lost a great wide receiver, lack of running game, questionable offensive line play.

It should be a close game barring turnovers.

It really isn't and many of you are missing the gist of the post.

Many on here felt we needed to be patient with Sparano and Henne, when you look at Tannehill's stats stacked amongst the other QB's, he ranks toward the bottom of the heap.

Remember we lost to the Bucs and Buffalo because of Tannehill's inconsistent play.

Most importantly, we now know where every one stands. I'm not inferring we should have held onto Henne, I am just saying, how many more seasons do you want to see Tannehill improve?

If we have solid QB play this season, with Matt Moore or Pat Devlin, I feel we easily make the playoffs.

Why would Moore or Devlin provide solid QB play? Devlin has never proven anything and Moore is only good for the occasional substitution.

so somehow... you think we gave up too soon on henne, who was a 4 year college starter and has been in the nfl now for 5 seasons, and barely rates ahead of 5 other QBs, and you're ready to give up on tannehill who was a two year starter at QB in college and has less than two full seasons as an nfl starter, and yet tannehill is already better than henne, and not just by a little.

Dude you're working hard for your troll award. Thanks for the good laugh. I also remember with fondness, the time you complained about having a negative rep around here and you were basically crying over all the thumbs down you've been given. Troll long, and troll hard brother.

Why don't you post stats of Henne's 2nd year and compare, instead of comparing a 2nd year starter to a 5 yr starter.

Jesus. I've never seen you make a post that wasn't stupid.

Saying winning the next 3 out of the last 4 to make it a successful season is stupid?

I'm not sure why that's a stupid statement.

We've only won 3 out of our last 9 games, after starting out 3-0 out of the gate.

Instead of attacking the poster (me), back up you talk with stats, not smack.

LOL you pick the only thing that is even close to resembling a coherent statement and use that as your example.

What about everything else you've said in this dumpster fire of a thread?

It's hilarious that you try to play this, duh, character then ask for stats to back up anything you don't agree with.

How about this for stats.

Games won:

Devlin: 0

Tannehill: 13

What else?

Henne: 12 TD, 14 INT, 2,878 yards, 60.8 % Comp, 205.6 Y/G
Tannehill: 17 TD, 13 INT, 3,115 yards, 62.1% Comp, 260 Y/G

Correction: 13 int, not 15... I hate posting on a phone!!!

lol...I was waiting for some fool to come out with this.

Henne was 12/27 for 117 yards and 2 TDs last night....he was a miniscule part of that win. Let's just say the won in spite of Chad Henne. Their 4 wins have come against Tennessee, Houston twice and Cleveland. That's 5-7 Tennessee, 2-11 Houston and 4-8 Cleveland. Put it in perspective.

And what does that say about Tanny? Our 6 wins:

Cleveland(4-8)
Indy(8-4)
Atlanta(3-9)
Cincy(8-4) - Overtime
San Diego(5-7)
Jets(5-7)

6 Losses:

New Orleans(9-3)
Baltimore(6-6)
Bufffalo(4-8)
New England(9-3)
Tampa Bay(3-9)
Carolina(9-3)

Says he isn't much more than an average quarterback, if that. Only 2 of our wins are against teams with a winning record, and one of those was in Overtime. We've lost to 3 9-3 teams so far this year. Not exactly a great resume.

I was being facetious, joking, flippant, playful about should we have held onto Henne a little longer. I felt we could have made the playoffs last year, had we gone with Matt Moore. That being said, as sorry as Jacksonville is, they've won3 of there last 4. I want to see Tannehill at least do that, carry this team with his arms and legs, find a way to win.

Tannehill has cost and lost us games we should have easily won this season, make no mistake about that.

All I am saying is, we have a new goal to make it a successful season for Tannehill, and for me is to win 3 of the last 4.

How many opportunities has Tannehill had?

Teams with a 3-0 start are typically a shoe in to making the playoffs now all these games are must wins just to get a wildcard spot.

I will never understand the mentality of some of these posters, its like we can't have an opinion of the game.

And, Indy got blown out by some average teams.

Henne: 12 TD, 14 INT, 2,878 yards, 60.8 % Comp, 205.6 Y/G
Tannehill: 17 TD, 15 INT, 3,115 yards, 62.1% Comp, 260 Y/G
you could've easily posted henne's 2009 season, but his 2010 season works to illustrate that even after sitting behind pennington and getting Brandon marshall, through 15 games henne sucked in 2010.

You can have an opinion, but when you share them on an Internet forum of all places, sometimes you're gonna get slammed. It happens to all of us. It's a risk you assume when coming here.

True, but since a previous poster had said compare both sophomore seasons, I kinda tossed a couple of bullet points up there.

How does one prove anything if he doesn't get to play? The only reason Tannehill is playing is because we invested a high 1st round pick on him. Tannehill has never proven anything either, except that he's not a winner, and maybe not even an improvement over Henne (except for the so called "Upside").
