Did we give up to soon on Chad Henne...?

Why don't you post stats of Henne's 2nd year and compare, instead of comparing a 2nd year starter to a 5 yr starter.

No need for anyone to post Henne's 2nd season. His season now isn't as good as Tannehill's. The only stat he's better in is lost fumbles and INTs.

Henne this year, his 5th in the NFL:

Henne - 230 for 382 - 60.2 percent - 2,436 yards - 8 TDs 10 INTs - 21 rushes for 54 yds - Sacked 28 times - 74.9 rating
Tanny - 280 for 451 - 62.1 percent - 3,115 yards - 17 TDs 13 INTs - 34 rushes for 164 yds and 1 TD - Sacked 45 times - 83.2 rating

Henne has never thrown more TDs than INTs in any of his seasons. The most TDs he's ever thrown in a season is 15 and that was on 490 attempts.

And indy dominated the best team in the nfl.

Yeah, but Broncos had too many turnovers and it was 39-33 loss. The Chiefs were also 7-0 and undefeated and the Broncos will be in the playoffs, again

How does one prove anything if he doesn't get to play? The only reason Tannehill is playing is because we invested a high 1st round pick on him. Tannehill has never proven anything either, except that he's not a winner, and maybe not even an improvement over Henne (except for the so called "Upside").

Then it isn't fair to include Devlin in his example b/c since he hasn't proven anything, it isn't possible to assume he'd be any better.

Jaguars have won 3 out of there 4 last games with Chad Henne, which begs this question, should we have been more patient with Henne...?

Can Ryan Tannehill win 3 out of our next 4 to get to the next level...?

If we finish 9-7, I feel that will be progress. (meant to say if we at least win 3 to finish out 9-7 or 10-6)

Football is a team sport. Not only did Chad Henne have little to do with those wins, they were against the Texans and the Browns. The Dolphins are going against a hot Steelers team and the Patriots. If the Dolphins don't win 3 out of their last 4, just that stat alone means nothing regarding Tannehill. What does matter is how Tannehill plays on the field, and if he can do his part to help get a win. But actually securing wins is up to the team as a whole.

I was being facetious, joking, flippant, playful about should we have held onto Henne a little longer. I felt we could have made the playoffs last year, had we gone with Matt Moore. That being said, as sorry as Jacksonville is, they've won3 of there last 4. I want to see Tannehill at least do that, carry this team with his arms and legs, find a way to win.

Tannehill has cost and lost us games we should have easily won this season, make no mistake about that.

All I am saying is, we have a new goal to make it a successful season for Tannehill, and for me is to win 3 of the last 4.

How many opportunities has Tannehill had?

Teams with a 3-0 start are typically a shoe in to making the playoffs now all these games are must wins just to get a wildcard spot.

Saying Matt Moore would've gotten Miami to the playoffs last year is impossible to prove. What makes you think he'd pull that off? Jacksonville has won 3 of 4 games. This is supposed to mean something after starting off 0-8?

He beat the Saints in the preseason and just seems more poised when playing.

Look we had chances to right this ship, but Tannehill would always come up short. Even against the Jets, we were up 6-0 at the half, kicking off to the Jets to start the 2nd half.

Our defense played great.

Educate yourself, son.

They beat Seattle and SF

You were saying about losing to mediocre teams?

They beat the arguably 3 best teams in the entire NFL

Because you could see Tannehill was thinking too much and wasn't comfortable out there.

This year he looks a little better, but his turnovers in close games cost us, and so did the refs in 2 games, the Panthers and the Patriots game, but even yet, we had chances to win those games.

preseason means what?

Devlin played terribly against scrubs. This is fact.

Oh he beat the Saints in preseason? The game where no Saints starters played. Oh boy.

He got us the win to start of the season and wake up the team.

I honestly can't tell if you're being serious. Most of the guys who played in that game were cut. What the hell difference did winning that game make?

What the hell are you talking about?

He's won nothing in the NFL. 0, zilch, nada. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

This guy knows what's up.

The fumble vs. Buffalo to give them good field position to close out the game was his fault? So he's supposed to hang onto the ball while being blindsided. All QBs do that I guess. What other game did he lose on his own?

Did you see what the Saints did to us?

Well, Ryan Tannehill had two second-quarter turnovers , including a fumble , that killed our momentum. Ryan Tannehill finished 22-for-35 for 249 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions. He also rushed for 48 yards on four carries, but was sacked four times.

Devlin was playing against 3rd and 4th stringers and mostly reserves in that pre season game. Hell some of those players he played against in the pre season game aren't even on a team anymore.
