Do the findings put Tannehill's leadership skills into question?

You ask most guys in that locker room about Incog and Martin and they were best friends before martin left. How does a guy step in when nothing appears wrong?

Meh. Everyone on the team knew the way Incognito and his band of morons acted. Im sure they knew about how they treated that trainer and some of the other linemen. Someone on that team had to step up and be the true leader. Someone had to step up and tell Incognito to STFU and his behavior isnt cool or welcomed on this team. Someone needed to step up and tell Incognito that this team is not about that nonsense and instead its about football and most importantly winning football. The QB wouldve been a good person to do it.

I will say this........ I guarantee the best QBs in this league who are the leaders of their team wouldve shut all of that **** down and let Incognito know he can get with the program or get ****ing lost.

That's the one thing I got the most out of all of this, is that "football" seemed to be about the last thing on these guys' minds. When I look at the players on Seattle and SF, they seem hyper focused on playing football at the highest level. You can actually see that intensity and focus in their top guys' eyes. That seemed to be lacking here across the board. I mean, you had your LT coming skipping a practice after DRINKING all night after a horrific loss? Where was the fire? Where was the focus from these guys? Still more worried about pulling stupid pranks than focusing on the season and getting better.

yeah it's the qbs fault... :baghead:

I never said I blamed Tannehill for any of this, just that if he was aware of even a fraction of this, I would have hoped he might have tried to step up a bit. Trust me, Tannehill would be at the very bottom of people to blame for this fiasco, I just felt is worth a discussion. Leaders sometimes need to do the unpopular thing to lead effectively. There was an opportunity here.

All being said, I am still an RT believer and think he can grow into a true leadership role. Hopefully this was a learning experience for everyone in that lockerroom.

Yeah, cause guys like Aldon Smith are totally dedicated to the game and wouldn't do anything off field to jeopardize it. :bobdole:

Ryan Tannehill is not a Leader. He is a medicare QB. Remember Chad Henne. Anyone want to bet a Steak Dinner, Tannehill goes 8-8 next year, and we draft another QB for 2015? That's my bet. Pat Devlin might have more upside - no joke man. Tannehill is average!

I don't think Ryan Tannehill can be expected to be a leader in only his second year in the league, with the way he's played thus far in his career. I don't think he has the foundation for taking on that sort of role and being viewed by his teammates as having "earned" it.

So would the Seahawks consider Russell Wilson a leader?

I don't think so. Has he been outspoken about anything at all?

Is it his fault that several Seahawks players got suspended for PED use?

Did he get in Richard Sherman's face for the rant after the NFC championship game?

It seem some fans are the only ones questioning Tannehill leadership abilities. Maybe some of you have forgotten the incident with Rishard Matthews in the Cleveland game.

Dude. Please don't put SuperBowl Champ Russell Wilson and Ryan (15-17) Tannehill and blowing the last 2 games in the same sentence man, it is disrespectful.
