True but, I believe most can look at a play and see if the QB appeared to make a decision or throw earlier than he would have liked to.
I disagree. Lots of these "hurries" are borderline calls. How about a screen pass where the OL intentionally lets the DL get penetration? What about on a blitz play where a rusher is intentionally left unblocked, and the receiver is determined pre-snap? What if a rusher gets right up into a QB's face but that QB's throw is unaffected by the rusher? I believe we've had this discussion before and there are lots of contingencies we could discus here, but there have been times where I have watched a player and could not even come close o justifying the grade PFF had given them.
