Do you think it's Fair !!!

The only knot on Gus is he's defintely not long term..AJ age sets him up for that. That's what we're looking for, some stability to that position. That's defintely makes us all dolphins fans. Gus would be like a drug, a temporary high if he succeeds, but you will have to come back down fast and then start looking for the next high by next year..
Thats not necessarily true. Gannon, Brad Johnson, Doug Williams, etc were all over 30 when they really bloomed and found a system and team willing to give them a chance.. Now I not saying Gus will suddenly be a pro bowler (even though he was 1x before) but I am saying that he showed an efficiency unlike any other time in his career during his 3 game stint in minny. While it was only 3 games we have comprarable weapons and a stronger D that will allow him to not try and do the spectacular just excute what is expected of him. He also has the confidence of our OC which doesnt hurt. Remember Gus is 32-33 years old, that also means hes going to play smarter than he has in the past by virtue of understanding more of the pro game than he did when he was previously a starter in wash and he played pretty good for a young qb (back then).

Everyone knows on this board you are an Anti-Feeley because he stole your girlfriend...Get over it....
By the way, it's hotter right now in Alaska, your brain should un-freeze right now and bring you back to the real world...

That's original. it's not that I am anti-Feeley, it's that I am anti-ret@rded. Feeley plays like a ret@rd, and I don't support a ret@rd starting at QB for the Miami Dolphins, but I can see that you are slower than most, so Feeley is your guy. Do you wear a helmet to bed??

Is this what 4-12 does to a fan base? We're hearing about conspiracy theories against AJ now. The coaching staff wants him to fail, Gus has an unfair advantage, the OC likes Gus better.

From everything Saban has shown us so far, they will both be given every chance to start and the better player will be the starter. This is the NFL - the most competitive football league there is, where the game is played at the highest possible level. The NFL is not about fair, the NFL is about who is better. If AJ isn't good enough to beat out Gus, he should not be our starter. Period.

Saban is no dummy, he will give them both a fair shot and whoever comes out the winner will be the qb. He knows gus isn't the long term answer, he probably wants aj to succeed so he has a qb for the future. The summer should be an interesting one.

Why are some people so enthralled with AJ Feeley? He really hasn't done anything in his career to warrant all this undying support. Lets quit making excuses for this guy. If he is the better QB then he will overcome the challanges in front of him. Great players do that. They don't whine about what,s fair and not fair. Nothing in the business of the NFL is fair. The bottom line is he needs to outplay Gus in training camp. If he can't do that then he's not the great player you think he is. Anyway, wouldn't you want the best player to be on the field? The one who gives us the best chance of winning? Thats all that matters. I could care less if it is AJ or Gus or Sage. Just win Baby.

I think it's b/c he has a strong arm. That's really all he's shown, but many seem to think that's all a QB needs.

I'm not sure how they will determine the winner of the QB battle between Gus and Feeley but one thing I know for sure is that it won't be fair. Since Gus allrady knows the system, he is more comfortable and Linehan and Bagget knows what he is capable off....What advantage does Feeley has over him? I even believe the coaches want him to fail...

Feeley will probably practice in training camp with the second team including Derrius Thompson, Josh Davis, Kendall Newson, Alex Holmes and other players who might not even make the team. If it was to make it a fair QB battle, I would give Feeley way more snaps than Gus to get even with him and at least be more 50% comfortable in the system entering the 1st game of the season. Feeley has one advantage which is that he knows the timing of his receivers allready including David Boston that he got to throw to last year. Besides that, the coaches, the new system, the learning process are all factors against him.

How fair is the QB battle between Gus and AJ? This sounds like a Mission Impossible for Feeley. Why do you think Fiedler was always beating every QB that came to compete with him?
Hopefully Saban does something to even the battle out. Giving Feeley more snaps with the first team is the only logical answer that I can come up with. If that does not happen, then you are probably right and Gus will definitely be ahead of him.

Seriously. What has this guy really shown? The only thing he has shown is that he has a better arm than Fiedler. Well, it takes more than that to be a good QB. Stronger arm or not, he still makes the same bone headed mistakes Fiedler makes. he can't read a defense and he locks onto a reciever. He is not good. He will be gone after this season. Just my opinion.
