I lost a lot of confidence in Philbin after those last 2 games last year. That was a disgrace! I'm not at the point yet like I was with Wanny heading into 04, or the Meatball heading into 11 where just looking at the coach made me sick to my stomach and I knew the season was going to be a disaster. This is fixable and I think there is some hope for the playoffs. Philbin might turn out to be OK, maybe. I have high hopes for Lazor. I think adding him and getting rid of Sherman makes this a better coaching staff then it was a year ago. We'll see, they haven't played a down that counts yet.
I'd be surprised if Thomas still starts. Wheeler, I don't know I've got a bad feeling the coaching staff is the last to figure out he sucks or will be stubborn about this. It would be dumb to worry about his salary. That damage is already done you don't make things worse keeping on the field. You just make a bad decision worse continuing to play him with potentially better players available.
