Dolphins and Ravens bid for Kerry Collins

Espnews John Clayton says the Dolphins and Ravens are trying to land Kerry Collins as a backup QB. Would we like to see Collins as our new backup?

When analyst makes their list of the QBs with the best long ball in the NFL, Kerry Collins is always in the top 5. Sabans offense is primed for the LongBall.
CUlpepper is longball and so is Collins. Question is, does Collins already know he would start the first 2-3 games coming here while Culpepper spends September in the final stage of his injury recovery( remember he was set to be ready late October to return to starting status, he is ahead of schedule, so that slats him to miss only a couple of games) IF Culpepper agrevates injury early, then Collins could see a great deal of time in year one(2006 season)
Bottom line is this, Ferotte, Fieldler, Feeley Rosenfels, are all game, and Sabans approach to wipe the slate clean of all Miami Dolphins and start from scratch is the best thing that has happend to our QB position since the first round of 1983(Just my opinion).

God. Kerry Collins, Tommy Maddox, Daunte Culpepper, Joey Harrington; the procession of bums through our clubhouse this year has been really depressing.

Gone are the dreams of Jay Cutler, Drew Brees or even Patrick Ramsey. Oh well...

:shakeno:

Collins or Harrington either one is fine. But if I had to pick one it would be Collins because Millen's ******* will try to trade for a high draft pick IMO. He will try to pass Joey on to someone the same way Philly passed AJ on to us.

Griese wasn't coming here as a backup...

Adding Collins would be a good pickup for us...he's a guy with starting experience and can carry the team in case DC isn't ready for the start of the season...IMO, much better than Tommy Maddox...
