Dolphins Are A Playoff Team This Year

Cool. The Jills beat us twice with a no-name 3rd string QB, "Flucco" best us, and the jests split, so I guess you better adjust those predictions to fit with what happened last year.

Acting like the pats are an easy win without gronk is silly. That's not gronk's team, it's Brady's, and he'll be throwing against one known factor in Grimes and **** linebackers. Sorry, I haven't seen enough out of Taylor or Davis and Finnegan hasn't done anything in 3 years, so I disagree with "no problem."

Ok maybe more commentary was needed by me. I think our offense is greatly improved and I project Taylor and Finnegan to be very good our LBs are gonna be better then last year too another off-season in a new system and add tripp

And there's our first tannehill basher on cue

3-3 vs 4-2 in the division will probably be the difference between playoffs or not. Getting off to a 1-0 start would be big and a 2-0 start would be HUUUUUGGGGGEEEE.

Too many "ifs" and "shoulds" for me to be confident this is a playoff team, especially with this schedule.

This.

Every year we have the same folks say we are a playoff team and we always finish with a mediocre record.

Time to stop.

Not a playoff team with RT behind center.

Gotta put flip-per in the tank. Yawn. Boring. and nothing worthwhile to read. I don't know why I bother to answer but, do feel bad for fans not knowing anything.

Gotta get it right one of these years. No?

We can't win our division = no playoffs

I don't see us winning the division especially if Revis is anywhere close to back. The thing we have going for us for the wildcard is the AFC North has 4 tough teams so they might all take each other out of the WC race, you just know Manziel is going to pull a win or two out of his ass. The Colts should dominate taking the other three teams from that division out of the WC race. And we get to play the the other WC contenders the Chiefs and Chargers.

Just like last year I think our fate is in our own hands.

Every year, every team can make the playoffs...key injuries, players getting hot at the right time, players going through slumps allow for teams to rise and fall and either go beyond expectation or fall short...

If Tannehill progresses then sure we can sneak in there. I think we'd then be a few dominant defensive leaders shy of being a true contender, but there's no reason to believe the playoffs aren't attainable this year.

Overall, I don't think anyone can say we are worse, and are likely improved.

This same basic thread/post is on every forum of every NFL team. Every. One. Of course we got better. The problem is, every team got better, which still leaves the same gulf between us and contention. If you want to argue playoffs you've got to show how we got more better than other playoff teams.

The one silver lining of the draft being later than usual this year is it's shortening the Plague of Rampant Optimism known as the post-draft offseason... that sparkling time when every draft pick is a steal, every free agent pickup fits into the offense perfectly, every young player is going to take the next step and every coach has learned from the mistakes of last year.

How many times have we heard it? How many years in a row has this thread appeared?

Could this be the year? Sure. But the statement I highlighted, with it's incredulity that anyone could think otherwise just strikes me as sad, because all too often it just means a hard rain's gonna fall.

Oh my the obligatory we are making the playoffs this year thread.I guess if we say it every year odds are it will happen one day.

Ok maybe more commentary was needed by me. I think our offense is greatly improved and I project Taylor and Finnegan to be very good our LBs are gonna be better then last year too another off-season in a new system and add tripp

Problem is, the other teams got better too.

I believe a 10 win season is possible with the improvements, but The team has to actually deliver on the promise. We will know more after the first four games.

I predict we will win between 1 and 15 games and lose between 1 and 15 games.
