Dolphins blew it with passing on Herbert

I’ll agree with that. I like Herbert and I like watching him play. However it’s very early, he could be a bust or have a worse career than Rivers, don’t know her. But my gut is that he’s here to stay and on his way to being successful. You just hope he’s getting good coaching this early in his career so down the road if he’s victim to multiple OCs and HCs he’s comfortable with himself in what he needs to do.
I always liked Rivers. He's a prick and he knows it. Plays with passion.

Yep, love his passion, never said I didn’t, but he was limited and never knew his limitations. He really blew A LOT of games on his own.

I agree with this post. Plain and simple. We knew Herbert had the physical attributes , but his comfort level and rhythm to play qb at the nfl level was the question.

it no longer is. He has the mold of a modern Dan Marino and we passed on him for a short, hip damaged, slow for his size, left handed qb. Tua’s only hope is if he can mold himself into drew brees, that’s the only option for greatness. He has to become a student of the game.

I agree with this post also.

Tua, what you see is what you get. Herbert has huge ceiling and can be elite. Tua, well I never see it happening.

Again, Tuas lack of size, arm strength and speed are all starting to show. He is very accurate, but can it make up for his shortcomings, no pun intended.

I think thats fair, but if you're going to give the dopped INTs to opponents, then you need to give the dropped passes to his receivers... UNLESS you're going to provide me with some kind of evidence that opponents have dropped more Tua INTs than league average and that his receivers have dropped less Tua passes than league average. Else you should just keep the could've, should've out of the discussion IMO...

I agree about comparing wr drops in the qb discussion but I wasn't referring to dropped ints. The ill placed throw away at the sidelines where he threw it right to the defender instead of 15 ft out of bounds. Luckily the defender was out and didn't reestablish, last week got lucky with the penalty and against the chargers he through it right to the db and luckily the defender played the ball like a t-rex and it went right through his arms. Didn't even think about the dropped ones.

Herbert has played well. But the talent around him on offense is much better than what Tua has.
exactly. herbert got 44 yards on 16 carries from starting RB kalen ballage. without that ground game support there's no way he goes for 366 and 3.

when tua gets that kind of run game watch out.

Oh cry me a river, this reeks of “Tua is wrecking my fantasy team” or “his rating in my video game sucks.”

In case you forgot, we had a fantasy darling QB and didn’t win any championships. On the other hand we had an smart, accurate technician who fit within the context of the team and won two.
