Probably more than a tad sheltered.

I think hes shown to have that killer instinct in college. So it isn't like he doesn't have it. Let's hope he can bring it to the NFL

Herbert also has 3 rushing TDs vs 0 for Tua. Tua’s longest pass is 35 yards, Herbert’s is 72. In Herberts first 2 games he passed for more yards than Tua has in 4 games. In 9 games, Herbert has thrown for more than 300 yards in 5 of those. Herbert also has 5 games with 3 or more TD passes.

Herbert is clearly the best QB in this draft. Burrow might have been but he’s career ended when he was drafted by Cinci.

Grier needs to draft another QB anyway. Only Tua is on contract for next year. We need two great QBs. QBs get hurt and they are important. We need two anyway. And then it will be up to Flo who will start.

Like I said in a different thread -- college no longer matters. He's in the PROs.

Different game. Way different challenges. Doesn't have the ridiculous talent differential on his side.

But... Of course he's a competitor. He better be. And I 100% agree -- hope he has legit NFL game.

I hear that. Stats have some value and I use to really be into them but 19 years ago Tom Brady taught me to not care. Pedestrian stats, he certainly put them up later on on his career, but his ability to make the most important plays in the game was uncanny. You saw it week after week for the better part of the last 20 years. Many have said his best seasons were the ones where he had crappy weapons and pedestrian stats.

Oh I agree it doesnt matter anymore what he did in college. I'm just referring to the fact that he might be a nice kid but somewhere inside of him there is a killer

I think that if we can give him one more second per play... he may emerge.

But that is apt to be next year. We'll need a RT and a running game to slow down the blitzing.
